When the clock struck 2100 hours, all crew members had to check in with their respective captains before people could split up for their evening activities. It's a standard protocol for crew members to check in twice a day with their captains. Once in the morning and once in the evening. When the crew members of the Archangel reported to Murrue and noticed her red skin, she simply told them that it was none of their concern. She had already put some antibacterial cream and focused on cooling down her skin so that it could heal.
On the fourth floor of the hotel, Athrun slowly opened the door to peek out of the room. If someone saw him and Cagalli coming out of the same room, it could lead to some unwanted attention. "Alright. Coast is clear." The both of them had already dressed up in casual clothing to go off for a semi-romantic dinner between the two of them. There wouldn't be any candlelights and fancy clothes but they were going to be dining at the hotel restaurant which does serve a variety of delicious and pricey dishes. Thank goodness that Athrun still has a good amount of money in his account that he had saved when he was a child. "So what do you feel like having?"
Cagalli gave it some thought as they walked down the staircase to head to the restaurant entrance located near the lobby. "For some reason, steak sounds good at the moment. I feel that I could use some more protein."
"So you could increase your stamina to go for a few more rounds later?" asked Athrun in an impish tone. "In any case, you'll probably need it if you want to try and wear me out." Cagalli smiled before playfully smacking the back of his head. When the pair got down, they spotted Kira and Lacus talking with Andy and decided to go over to quickly check in with him.
"Looks like everyone on the Eternal has been accounted for. Enjoy your evening, kids!" With that said, the Desert Tiger turned around to head outside.
"Hey, Athrun. Can I talk to you for a minute in private?" asked Kira in a calm but serious tone.
Athrun nodded. "Sure. Cagalli, you go ahead and get us a table at the restaurant. I'll be there as soon as I can!"
"Okay!" Cagalli walked away to find the restaurant entrance. Lacus knew what Kira wanted to talk about with Athrun and promptly excused herself.
"Just remember that you promised to watch the evening fireworks with me later!" reminded the pop star in a sweet tone. Kira smiled and nodded. As soon as the girls were out of the way, the two friends found a small quiet place to talk.
"So what's on your mind?" asked Athrun.
'How do I want to start off the talk? I don't want to get Kou into big trouble. Ah, I know!' "Well, when Cagalli talked to Kou earlier, I overheard parts of their conversation. I was able to pick up a few interesting tidbits. Something about you two wanting to use Kou's room to make love. You mind clarifying things?" asked Kira in a pleasant tone.
"Um...I don't know why we're discussing the...uh...non-existent sex life between me and Cagalli," said Athrun as he started to sweat.
"Come on, Athrun. The stuttering right there was a dead giveaway. Just come clean already. You and Cagalli had sex, right?" Kira waited until his best friend sighed in defeat and nodded. "First off, I'm not going to go around blabbing about your sex life. Don't worry about that. And I'm not that upset that you and Cagalli consummated the relationship. With the way you two have been acting, I'm surprised you didn't go at it earlier."
The two shared a small laugh before Athrun spoke. "I'm just glad that I have your blessings for a serious relationship with your sister."
"And I'll be looking forward to the day when the two of you get married and when I can truly call you 'brother'. But I just want to say one last thing before you go." Kira closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them, Athrun felt a chill as he stared directly into the blank purple eyes that Kira had when he was in SEED mode. "Should you do anything to intentionally hurt her or break her heart, I will get into my Freedom Gundam and tap dance over your body. After she gets through with you of course."
"You know that I wouldn't do anything like that but if you need me to make that promise to you to make you feel better, then I promise to let you tap dance over me." Athrun paused. "Can you tap dance in a mobile suit?!?"
Kira's eyes snapped back to normal before he answered. "I'm pretty sure I can modify the OS of the Freedom to get a more precise control over its leg movements. And if I'm going to tap dance, I'm going to need to do some research on precise dance steps and movements. Well, sorry to keep you waiting. Enjoy your dinner!" With that said, he went off to join Lacus outside, leaving a stunned Athrun Zala behind.
