Gundam Seed - After War: Battlefield Orb Take Two (DARK) [Episode 139853]

Patting his belly, Kou let out a contented sigh. “Mmm now that was a friggin’ good meal.”

”Gee, I wonder what gave it away. The fact you put it all away with the gusto of some food-crazed character from a cartoon show, or the fact you couldn’t stop with the comments on how good every little ounce of food you had was divine.” Cagalli chuckled as she shook her head.

Before the Coordinator could retort; a sudden vision passed by his eyes as his brain snapped to attention. “We have to return to the Kusanagi right away!”

Cagalli blinked her eyes, wondering what brought on the sudden change in demeanor. “We have to return because…?”

Suddenly the ground shook and explosions rocked the airwaves which answered Cagalli’s question.

”That’s why! We’re under attack by Obsidian Abyss!” Kou shouted, grabbing her arm and dragging her down the street toward the Morgenroete factory where the Kusanagi was stationed to maintenance and re-supply.

“Wait a second how do you know its them?!”

”How the hell else would attack us? The Earth Forces wouldn’t dare with all the negative PR they’re getting and Blue Cosmos is under the same looking glass so it ain’t them either!” Kou reasoned as he kept dragging Cagalli down the street.

“Shit!” Lowe growled as he held onto Red Frame’s joysticks. “Eight what the hell caused that explosion?!”

The computer screen read, ”It seem to have been caused by heavy bazooka round that just destroyed on of the moored ships in the harbor.”

Lowe shifted Red Frame so that he could see the ship sinking in a blaze of fire and hulking metal. “Dammit! Any clue to who’s attacking us?”

”Not a clue, my sensors have detected mobile suits closing in but they do not have any registry with ZAFT or the Earth Forces.” The computer replied to Lowe.

The com-line came to life as an incoming message came through, “Lowe do you read me? This is Erica Simmons.”

“I read yeah Chief Simmons, what’s the score?” The Junk Tech asked as the ground shook again.

”We’re under attack by an unknown mobile suit attack force. We can only assume they’re either a rogue unit or Obsidian Abyss members.” The Morgenroete engineer explained as calmly and quickly as she could. “Please make your way to the Morgenroete factory so we can re-arm Red Frame with a beam rifle, shield and your flight pack.”

“I already have the Gerbera Straight, that’s all I need.” Lowe replied as Red Frame placed a hand on the hilt of is trademark weapon.

“Yea, but your battery must be getting close to 50% empty with all the work you’ve been doing.” Erica reasoned. “Also these guys aren’t amateurs considering they evaded radar detection, so I’d suggest you head over here and gear up.”

”Mrs. Simmons has a point Lowe; the equipment might give us a much needed edge. Remember Red Frame isn’t as maneuverable on Earth as it is in space.” Eight’s screen read off.

“I guess that makes sense. Okay then I’m heading over to Morgenroete ASAP.”

“We’ll have a charger and your equipment on standby Lowe. Head for the East Wing hanger, the door will open for you when Red Frame approaches.”

“Roger that, I’m on my way!”

********************

As Erica cut off her transmission to Lowe, she turned around from her terminal just as Kou and Cagalli; both of them suited up raced into the hanger. “Boy you two got here in record time. I didn’t even have to call you.”

”We weren’t too far away so we just ran here as quickly as we could.” Cagalli said as she panted for breath.

Kou who was not winded at all looks at Erica. “Are the mobile suits prepped and ready to go?”

”Yes, Gold Frame is all set and we just finished loading the Aile unit onto the Strike Rouge.”

Cagalli looked up at Erica for a moment. “Just the Aile Striker? Why not the Sword or the two other packs?” She didn’t bother to ask about the Launcher as using it in the city or near it would be to risky, especially if she missed.

“Besides the fact you’ve had zero training with the use of the Sword in a gravity environment, and the fact the IWSP and Lighting Striker packs haven’t been adjusted yet, the fact remains you’ve never piloted a mobile suit outside of zero-g. That means your better off using the Aile to give you extra mobility to remedy your handicap.” Erica rationalized.

“Can’t argue with that logic,” Kou said off-handedly as he made his way to the lift to get aboard Gold Frame.

Not being able to find any good reason to argue the engineer’s logic either, Cagalli rushed to get aboard the Strike Rouge just as the hanger door opened and Red Frame walked in.

Kou finished shutting the cockpit hatch and activating the start up sequences for Gold Frame as he noticed the Red Frame come in. “Huh, what’re you doing here Lowe?”

”Heya fellas.” Lowe replied, waving Red Frame’s hand as he maneuvered Red Frame to dock with the flight pack unit which was all set up for him. A power plug was attached to the power-feeder, and two manipulator arms attached the shield to the left arm and put the beam rifle in the right arm.

“Lowe’s going to be helping us out so I want all three of you to cover each other’s back.” Erica said to all three mobile suit’s using her headset. “The Kusanagi’s M1 squad is being deployed along with the extra M1’s we were able to salvaged and rebuild.”

“How many extra M1’s does that give us?” Kou asked.

“Three, a total of six, plus you three is nine.” Erica replied grimly. “As for the enemy their unit count is eleven.”

“I guess that means we’ll have to pick up the slack.” The Orb Princess said as she finished making some minor adjustments to the Strike Rouge’s combat computer.

“Any ID’s on the enemy units?”

“Three GINN’s, one GINN-LRRC, two DINN’s, two mobile suits that look like modified Strike Daggers, and three totally unknown suits.” Erica answered as she was reading the incoming battle data from her computer terminal in the hanger.

“If that’s the case have the M1’s hang back near the factory and city so they can keep the bastards from entering the city, we’ll take point and handle the brunt of the work.” Kou suggested after analyzing the situation.

“Sounds like a plan to me.” Cagalli nodded in agreement.

”Ditto.” Lowe agreed as well.

When the indicator signaling Red Frame was fully recharged and that all three suits were ready, Erica pressed a button which disengaged the holding clamps, allowing the suits to leave the hanger and head for the battlefield.

**********************************

A pair of Semi’s outfitted with A.M.M.’s (Anti-Mobile Suit Missile) launchers roll up and start firing, only to be destroyed instantly by gunfire from a GINN.

”Hey Lane you kinda screwed up when you told us their ground defense forces were nonexistent.” Barton snorted as he fired his bazooka into a pair of S.A.M.’s.

“Its nothing to get worked over Barton so just keep at it.” Anna commented over the com-line as she brought her Dagger L’s cannon to bare and let loose a burst that took out several rocket-mounted ATV’s.

“Here come the M1’s so watch out.” Larry called as he flew overhead with his Jet Dagger L and started unleashing his missiles at the M1’s and other ground force assault vehicles below.

“I don’t see the Strike Rouge, Gold Frame or Red Fra-AGHH!” Lane cried out as the Red Frame streaked right up next to him, unsheathing the Gerbera Straight and neatly slicing the right forearm and head off in one go, the now head and arm-less GINN falls from the sky, crashing harmlessly to the ground.

“Got’cha.” Lowe chuckled as he streaked across the sky after the two DINN’s.

“Oh no you don’t,” Larry grinned as he flew behind Red Frame, lining up his targeting sights on the Astray suit. “Now I got you buddy.”

”LARRY HEADS UP!”

Larry turned his head to look at his right camera monitor. “What the he- HOLY SHIT”! He swerves his Dagger L to the left to avoid being cleaved by the Strike Rouge’s beam saber as the MS came at him from the side. “Mother fucker!” He screamed, aiming his beam carbine to shoot at the Gundam.

”Funny the Red Frame and Strike Rouge are here but where’s Gold Frame?” One of the GINN pilots muttered to himself as he took cover behind a warehouse. His eyes went wide as his motion sensor went off, “What the? Where’s the enemy I don’t see anybody?!”

Suddenly the Gold Frame appeared right next to the GINN, latching onto it with the Maga-no-Ikutachi units and started to drain the GINN’S battery.

“Gotta love Mirage Colloid,” Kou mused before using the razor-sharp tips of the Ikutachi to slice the GINN’s arms off. Gold Frame then flips the GINN the bird before slashing the head of the mobile suit off with the beam saber built into the aright arm, sending the suit toppling onto its back. Folding the Ikutachi units behind Gold Frame’s back, Kou turned toward one of the unknown suits and boosted toward it. “You’re going down next pal.”

Barton noticed Gold Frame coming toward him and he swerved to the side, taking aim with his bazooka. “Feh, think you can take me?” He snorted depressing the trigger and firing off a round.

Gold Frame preformed a spin-dive to move out of the round’s way and skidded to a halt on his knees. “Not bad asswipe but it’ll take more than that to take me out!” He shot Barton’s DoMZ the bird and flew right at him.

”Oh that bastard did not just flip me off, you cock sucking whore!” Barton yelled in rage as he holstered his bazooka and drew his heat-rapier and boosted at Gold Frame who responded in kind by drawing is own beam saber in the right arm. Both blades clash as the two suits attempt to overpower the other.

Growling, Tammy fired another bazooka round that destroyed a Junk tech construction suit. “Damn, I never thought they’d rally like this.” She muttered bitterly. She expected to only deal with the Kusanagi’s mobile suit force and the Red Frame, but over half of the capable mobile suits from the Junk Guild took up a call to arms and were helping the M1 squad keep her and her team from reaching the Kusanagi and Morgenroete. “Anna can you clear us a beeline?”

Anna grunted as an explosion near her suit make her jolt and shake. “I wish but if I fire my cannon anymore I’ll drain the battery dry.”

“Fuck, we made a serious miscalculation with this attack.” Tammy admitted sourly as she took cover from a volley of beam shots from the M1 team.

“Lane and McAllen’s GINN’s are down and I just lost Alphonse’s DINN signal.” Anna reported. “Larry’s having a hard time against the Strike Rouge and I doubt Kruze will last against Red Frame in that crappy DINN of his.”

”Who else is left?”

“Barton and Fuche’s DoMZ signals are still strong, Garry and Geningard’s GINN’s are pined by a BuCUE and a GINN from Lowe Gear’s team.”

Tammy pounded her hand against the side of her cockpit. “Damn it, I thought this attack would be to our advantage…but that’s what happens when I overestimate myself and underestimate my opponents.”

Meanwhile Barton’s DoMZ and Kou’s Gold Frame continued to saber fight, the two machines trying to one up the other by sheer skill with a beam blade. Both pilots grit their teeth as they try to push the other back, neither giving any opportunities for the other to exploit.

An opportunity came for Barton as a bazooka round slammed into the back of Gold Frame knocking Kou off balance, allowing Barton to kick the mobile suit off the factory grounds and crashing into a city street. Several cars, and a school bus come to a screeching halt as the Gold Frame crashes before them.

”Fuck I gotta get up and away from the city.” Kou grunted as he made his mobile suit get up.

Barton sheathed his sword and drew his bazooka again; however instead of aiming for Gold Frame his eye wandered to the school bus. He snarls in disgust. “Filthy Naturals, the last thing we need is for you to breed and invest the world with your spawn!” Pulling the trigger, the bazooka round left the weapon and flew toward the city street.

Kou’s eyes widened as he realized just where the round was going. He moved to intercept the round but it was too late, the bus, the cars and the street itself exploded in a blaze of fire and smoke. Debris hit the Gold Frame but the pilot didn’t even register it, all he saw was the gaping hole where the bus full of school kids once were. As the smoke settled, he could see blood and body parts that weren’t incinerated by the intense heat; he began to tremble as tears filled his eyes.

The battle seemed to have halted as everyone on both sides had seen the atrocity committed by the DoMZ pilot.

Tammy was fuming as she opened the com-channel. “Barton you bastard!! I told you no killing civilians you heartless fucktard! I’ll see you hang for this!”

”I just wasted some Naturals big deal!”

”YOU MURDERED CHILDREN YOU ASSHOLE! THAT IS A LINE YOU DO NOT CROSS WITH ME!” Tammy screamed with intense anger, her arm trembling on her joystick as she contemplated executing him right then and there.

Gold Frame suddenly stood up and Barton turned his DoMZ, aiming his bazooka. “You’re next chump.”

In the cockpit, Kou’s entire body trembled as he looked at the murdering mobile suit, his eyes filled with anger. “You killed them you mother fucker.”

In his mind he saw a seed…which shattered into brilliant beads of light. His eyes became wide with a cold, blank stare. In an instant Gold Frame reached forward and grabbed the DoMZ’s by the shoulders, digging its fingers into the joint work and ripping the arms clean off the suit. Before Barton could even recover the legs of his suit were torn clear off as well, and then his cockpit hatch was torn off ruthlessly. His eyes do wide in fear as the eyes of Gold Frame have taken an unholy red hue; as if mimicking its pilot’s fury at the Obsidian Abyss pilot. A hand reached in to grab him, yanking him from his seat and out of the cockpit. The gruff pilot could only cower as he was at the mercy of this mobile suit and it’s pissed off pilot.

“Do you know what happens to child murders?” The external speakers asked as Kou’s voice came out cold and almost downright evil. Before Barton could answer, Kou spoke again. “I kill them as horribly as I can think of!” With that said, the hand around Barton tightened, until the pilot cried out in agony until his entire body exploded as it was crushed into a bloody mess in the mobile suit’s hand.

The entire battlefield was quiet as Gold Frame opened its hand to let Barton’s remains fall to the ground. The gold and black MS then held up its bloody hand as it flipped the bird in the direction of the other DoMZ as if to say “you’re next”.

Fuche, the pilot of the second DoMZ tried to react as Gold Frame came at him. He brought his bazooka up, only to have it and his right hand sliced off by a beam saber. He then feels the left arm of the Gold Frame clamp onto his cockpit hatch. Using a technique developed by Lowe Gear, the energy conduit in the left hand blazed with energy as it incinerated the DoMZ’s cockpit and Fuche along with it. For the finisher the Ikutachi units unfolded and clamped around the DoMZ; cutting it in half, the severed sections explode in a ball of fire. Out of the flames, Gold Frame walks out, aiming its right arm and firing two of its lancer darts, hitting the two remaining GINN’s dead on through the cockpits; both suits explode when the darts themselves detonate. Without even looking Gold Frame aimed its right arm upwards and fired a shot from its beam rifle, hitting the last of the DINN’s in the air, the suit exploding from its reactor being hit, its parts raining down over the ground.

Tammy was trembling inside her DoMZ, she was totally focused on the devil that was called Gold Frame. She couldn’t believe that inside that thing was the gentle little kid she took care of ages ago.

“Lt. Bruin!”

Tammy snapped her head to see Anna and Larry regroup beside her. “Th-that thing took out Barton, Fuche and the others…”

”I say we cut our losses and get the fuck outta here!” Larry’s frantic voice filled the com-channel.

“R-right! Withdraw at once before he decides to kill us!” Aiming her right arm, Tammy fired a blinder-flare in the air which barely gave the three Obsidian Abyss pilots time to make tracks before they met the same demise as their comrades.

Inside the cockpit of Gold Frame Kou just stares at the retreating mobile suits, deciding to let them go as pursuing them was unnecessary. He didn’t even register the stares and gazes from the Red Frame, Strike Rouge and M1 team that were directed at him. Like he was some sort of monster.

At this moment, he just plain didn’t give a damn.
