Lab Days - Bishieworld: Visions [Episode 141136]

Kagome looked at Inuyasha, each blink clearing a screen of data and moving on to another.

Some of it made sense but had little value at the moment. Temperature, body density, spirit-energy, mass, distance, molecular cohesiveness, barometric pressure, and other readings from both Inuyasha and the air around him were quickly dismissed.

Some data made no sense to her at all. What was a "Theta Interference Pattern Variance" or a "Air Element Marker"? Why did she get a "Temporal Dislocation" flag popping up in the right upper corner of her vision?

"Are you the special one for me?" asked Kagome suddenly.

"Hah?" asked Inuyasha.

"You are, aren't you?" asked Kagome, feeling the concept click into place.

"I have no idea what you're going on about," confessed Inuyasha.

Kagome considered all the data streaming across her visual sensors and then banished them with another blink. Inuyasha was the 'special one just for her' - of that she had no doubt at present. What was she on the other hand?

"Hello?"

Inuyasha looked up. Kagome closed her eyes and hung her head. How was she going to explain this?

Three young girls blinked as they realized that Kagome had caught this new illness, but apparently her mysterious boyfriend had as well.

"This is Ayaka Mitsugiri with News Channel 5, nya. The strange new flu epidemic has resulted in quarantine measures levied against Japan by most of the world, mya. Despite this, there have been outbreaks in Hong Kong, New Delhi, Los Angeles, Perth, Berlin, Paris, and New York, nya. Despite photographic evidence of the aftermath, many governments have taken to treating this as a fatal and incurable disease, mya. Despite these measures, we've learned that the vast majority of those altered by the flu are catgirls, mya! Catgirls rule, nya!"

"Thank you for that completely unbiased report, Ayaka," said the anchorman, rubbing his forehead and looking awfully stressed. "We go directly to Professor Rara who has a theory about all this?"

"Mass delusion brought about by overwork and stress," said the Professor.

The anchorman blinked. "That's it? Professor, your own daughter Mitsuki is an Angel."

"Yes, she is a very nice girl," agreed the Professor.

"No, I mean she has wings and telekinetic abilities," said the newsanchor.

"Preposterous," said the Professor. "Clearly you've been overworked."

"Uh huh," said the newsanchor, rubbing his forehead again. "Can we go to a commercial break?"

Miroku frowned as he viewed the bowl of water in front of him.

Shippo sighed and sat back on the bench. "Borrrrring. When do you think they'll get back."

"Soon," said Miroku. "There are barriers to their journey."

"Yeah right," said Shippo. "You just wanted Sango to go through with Kagome so you could go check out that rumor of a beautiful shrine priestess."

"What a disappointment that was," said Miroku.

"I'm surprised you didn't try harder," said Shippo. "She might have just been playing hard to get."

"She was actually a crossdressing priest," said Miroku grumpily.

"I wish I had gotten to go," complained Shippo. "Think of all the candy..."

"I wish I had gotten to go," said Miroku. "Just imagine if many of those girls are dressed like Kagome."
