Yomi sighed as she watched her childhood friend run up and down the halls like a madwoman. She had been like this ever since she'd gotten better, not that it was a change from before she'd gotten sick. Heck, it pretty much fit more to see her yapping coming from a mouth with newly pointy canine teeth, and for the rear to have a little puppy tail.
Of course, a lot of people were like that, and were coming back after their sick time with new forms. Some of them were seemingly completely fitting, and others were not so clear as to why they'd gone how they had.
There was a tug on her sleeve from the class' resident child genius, and she looked down at the ten-year old. "Yeah?"
"I know that Miss Sakaki's all changed and everything, but why does she seem to be thinking about biting her own hand?" Chiyo asked.
"I don't know," Yomi muttered, glancing at the tall girl with the new spotted pointed ears and thick tail, "And I'm pretty sure that I don't want to know."
"Oh."
The older girl merely sighed, and tried not to cough herself.
For Sango, waking up on something so soft was a rather odd situation. After all, she'd spent a lot of time on mats, and hard floors, with only an occasional rest against Kirara, and she'd handled them all. But now she was laying on something much more comfortable, and she couldn't figure out how she'd gotten there.
But then she saw a picture of Kagome standing with people that looked a lot like her, and she remembered what had happened.
'That's right. I got to go to Kagome's time with her and Inu-Yasha. But then I got sick....' she thought to herself. 'I wonder what happened....'
Slowly, she got to her feet, and then walked through the room in search for something that could help her out. It was an odd place, as it was five hundred years after her own time. Fortunately, she'd gotten some exposure earlier through what her friend had brought back, though she was having trouble going past it that had nothing to do with time displacement. Her body felt... odd, as her balance and familiarity with her muscles were off, but not ruined.
Then she found a mirror, and discovered just what was going on. The face that she'd known for most of her life was now more delicate and softly feminine. Her hair was finer, and as she pushed it behind one ear, she saw that the lobe was pointed. Even then she was still graceful, as she found it easy to move without bumping into anything.
