Thunder Ken: Tour [Episode 142851]

by Kestral

It took the group several hours to feel better to the point that they could leave the tavern and get to their main order of business.

One problem that they were quick to run into was that nobody, not even Ami, could pronounce some of the names that their guide dropped. Most of the places seemed to be named something that had a large number of syllables that didn't quite translate well into Japanese.

One of the first places had been to where Ranma was now training with Sif and five einherjar, one of whom was clearly an expert at using a quarterstaff.

"The plain of Idavoll is here at the center of Asgard," explained the golden cat, who bore a strong resemblence to Anipuma. "This is where the various gods meet for day to day work. Over there is Gladsheim - the male group sometimes known as the Divine Justice Department. On the other side is Divine Intervention, which is the one the goddesses run, the building's name is Vingolf."

"How nice," said Ami, looking around. "That's Valhalla over there, isn't it?"

"Yes, and you can see my sister is indicating Castle Ida," said "Anipuma."

"Is that what they call it?" muttered Luna darkly.

"And coming up on our left is Glitnir," said "Anipuma" as "Unipuma" pointed.

"Do you have a pit where tomcats get what's coming to them?" asked Luna.

"Oh yeah, do they!" mumbled Artemis, settling back into his seat and seeming to go to sleep.

Luna waited two stops before accidently stomping on his foot. However, as he was in human form and she was still in feline form, it didn't do much.

He had protected her virtue. He had cared for and nurtured her when she was down and out and helpless.

He was the brother of one of her best friends.

He had been a major hunk when she'd first seen him, and his intensive training under the Aesir had added both bulk and definition and he even looked a little taller. When he'd been using that staff in combat, he'd been a blur of motion and picture of flowing grace. Of course, he'd still been getting his butt kicked by Sif - but he looked pretty good despite that.

The tour with its Kirby-esque landscape dotted with turn of the century (1100 from the look of things) farms was not her focus as she sighed longingly.

"Ami-chan, can I have your brother?"

Ami spluttered and fell off her seat, staring as a result of the unexpected comment from:
