Seras watched the snow fall out the window. If it continued to fall like this, they would have no choice but to return to Kain's crypt, quite probably to wait out the winter. That was not something Seras was looking forward to.
Fortunately, she had been able to take her bath. The water had been cold, of course, but that was far better than walking around covered in the remains of lesser undead...
Sighing, she returned her attention to the book in her hand. It was the same tome that Kain had used to learn his new 'Inspire Hate' spell. Kain insisted that she use the time to learn the spell as well, but that spell just didn't appeal to her. She wasn't one to cause unnecessary violence or mayhem. She understood her duties, she understood the need to fight and even to kill - although she was still queasy about killing simply to feed. She certainly never wanted to reach a point in her existence where she stopped caring about such things.
If that happened, she would end up turning into her Master, and she didn't want to become like him...
Seras suddenly had an image of herself dressed in Alucard's usual outfit, and couldn't help but giggle at the thought. No, for fashion concerns alone, she couldn't let herself become like her master. One of him was more than enough for two - or more! - worlds.
Lacking anything else to do, she opened the book, and began skimming the pages. She dismissed the spell Kain had shown her, and began the laborious process of trying to translate the spell that followed it.
"Let's see..." she mumbled to herself as she began working through the characters, "I think that's an 'I'... and the next should be 'n'..."
It took her several minutes to figure out the title. "Indux Timor, eh? Now, to figure out what it does..."
