Genma's proximity to the True Rune Brisingamen had caused his hair to return with a luster and beauty it had never possessed the first time around. He himself had become healthier and more physically attractive, though being Genma he had not noticed such.
Therefore he had hair on the back of his neck which suddenly began to lift. He noticed as well the goosebumps suddenly covering his arms and the feeling as if his feet had just immersed in cold water.
On a crowded street in Athens, it was obvious that many of these others felt it too. They stopped and looked around as if the sun-drenched warmth had unexpectedly chilled.
Someone yelled something that sounded uncomplimentary, and began shoving a few fellows to the side.
Ranma spotted them and something about this situation made him realize the fellow was after him.
Genma got a good look at the fellow flanked by bodyguards. Italian maybe. He had that sort of look to him, darkly tanned with an obviously expensive suit. His bodyguards looked like they could have been Yakuza enforcers despite apparently being also Italian.
"I did not have foreign relations with your daughter," tried Genma.
The man sneered at Genma briefly before returning his attention to Ranma. He said something in a language neither Ranma nor Genma spoke. Genma thought it sounded Italian.
Not seeing comprehension, much less compliance, one of the bodyguards pulled a large knife and started forward.
Genma reacted.
