Back in Japan, Nagisa Kara cocked her head to one side. She stared West for a second and shook her head.
"I better go see what's going on in Germany," Nagisa muttered. "Hopefully, I won't have to get involved. Ritsuko is still near the Jet Alone assembly and there is no way that Eva-01 or the Fuji Two can get there in time."
Nagisa turned into a purple light and vanished once more from Japan's soil. She appeared in the sky above Germany and wearing the green and black Iczer outfit.
"There is another Evangelion down there and it looks like there is another depressed pilot. What is with the mecha pilots always being depressed," Nagisa muttered. "I better let her know."
An Angel is on the way! Get to your robot and defend the base! Otherwise, you will die!
Nagisa gave a light chuckle, as the red haired girl looked around and quickly headed for Eva-02
"That depression makes them act like they are dressed to my telepathy. That will have to be worked on."
She watched as an angel that had three legs and four arms that gave a vague impression of Shiva, start fighting Unit-02 inside the base. Nagisa hesitated and let the red haired girl finish fighting the angel. The after-effects of the battle had the German base completely wrecked. Nagisa shook her head in resignation.
"Those things are getting stronger and changing tactics. I better help her out a bit."
That angel was stronger than the first two. They are getting stronger and changing tactics.
Nagisa nodded to herself and teleported back to Japan.
"I might have been a crybaby when I first met Iczer-1, but I do recall the helplessness I once felt," Nagisa whispered to herself. "I hope I can help these pilots out of their depression. It's painful to be around them."
Back in Germany, Asuka smiled wickedly as she looked upon the remains of the angel. She wasn't feeling completely useless anymore. She left the Evangelion and looked fondly at her robot. Kaji came rushing up, while shaking his head.
"Asuka? We can't stay here anymore. The German base is wrecked and we don't have the resources Japan does," Kaji said.
Asuka frowned, as she heard that. "That means I'm going to be meeting the Third Child and that girl."
"Sorry Asuka, but that's correct."
Asuka gave a long sigh and stared in the direction of Japan, and thought, "I wonder what that voice was."
Back in Japan, Nagisa left her apartment and felt a pull in her being. She grimaced, as she realized what it was. She followed the pull and saw blue haired girl trying her best to ignore her.
"Hello Rei. How are you doing today?" Nagisa asked.
Nagisa bit her lower lip, as she ignored the resentment coming from Rei. She gave Rei points for hiding her true feelings.
"Pilot Nagisa. I am doing well, " Rei said emotionlessly
"What are you doing here?" Nagisa asked.
"I do not know. It is probably nothing," Rei said.
"Maybe. Rei? I'm going to need help with the Iczer Robo if it is ever needed again. I can pilot it, but the energy it uses needs a second person to direct it," Nagisa explained.
"Why are you telling me this?" Rei asked.
"I was hoping that you would consent to be that person," Nagisa said.
Nagisa hid her smile, as she felt Rei's emotions whirl.
"I will have to talk to Commander Ikari to see if it is viable."
Nagisa shook her head. "It's not something that can be decided like that. You have to make the decision on your own. That's how that works."
For the first time, Rei let her emotions slip through. "I...I accept. Is that good enough?"
"It should be," Nagisa replied. "I believe that there is more to come later, but you have no need to know that right now."
Rei nodded and left. As she walked away, Rei took a look back at Nagisa and shook her head and then continued on. Nagisa shook her head in amusement.
"Well. I was chosen by Iczer-1 and was highly emotional. Rei doesn't want to express her emotions and my new instincts chose her," Nagisa thought. "It will be a bit before the telepathic link between us forms."
Nagisa sighed in amusement, as she felt NERV operatives moving near her to keep an eye on her.
"As if they really could, if I didn't allow it," Nagisa muttered.
