Well, not entirely unfamiliar. When he had first crossed the threshold into manhood, he had felt this combination of anticipation, curiosity, and lust. But such carnal interests had been sated within a few years, and he had since thought himself beyond such concerns. But now, knowing that Seras Victoria was disrobing with only a wooden door between them, he found his thoughts unable to turn away from that knowledge.
He could scarcely believe himself. Here he was, an adult, and a vampire at that, and in the middle of a fortress of the last Sarafan, Malek... and yet he found himself sorely tempted to attempt and view Seras change. And if anything, the harsh feelings they had been fostering since Coorhagen, was only making the urge to look stronger.
But he would resist. Here, in this desolate place with no blood to restore them, they needed each other more than ever. He refused to succumb to such a base temptation here, and make things worse.
His musings were interrupted by Seras' sudden yelp, and a crashing of armor. Had one of the cursed suits retained mobility, even after the power source was destroyed? With no more thought, Kain burst into the room, sword drawn and ready to fight.

He understood right away that there was no danger here, simply a misunderstanding. Some of the armor in the room had obviously fallen into a different position, and startled Seras as a result. No danger at all.
And yet he could not turn his eyes away.
Seras had removed the studded leather cuirass, and the cloth garment she had worn beneath it. The only clothing remaining on her torso was a strange harness of some kind, outlining and holding her breasts. It only served to draw attention to their size, and the relative thinness of her waist. In her hands was the gambeson she would wear beneath the mail, to not be chafed by the metal.
He had always recognized that Seras was exceptionally well formed for a woman, but now it hit him all over again.
Seras, meanwhile, having been startled by the crashing, and then again by Kain bursting into the room. Seeing him stare at her like that, she beat down her embarrassment, covering it nicely with anger. "KAIN!!"
Not being stupid, Kain turned, said, "My apologies," and left the room.
But he could not banish the image from his mind, nor silence the small part of him that wished she had only been a bit more cooperative, and had removed that last piece of cloth, as well.
Kain shook his head and almost wished he could indulge in beating it against the wall. The faster they got this mission over with, the better...
