Gendo steepled his hands together and leaned forwards. "Is that so?"
"Yes, sir. Apparently she's got some clear signs of it, and we can tell that she's not a rat girl. I do have to wonder what this says about them though..."
"Why would you say that?"
"Well, she isn't one to push things, but she's confident in her job. Wouldn't you say so, sir?"
"Ah... yes. Exactly that."
"Maybe it's just random," the bridge operator sighed.
"Perhaps," the Commander murmured, and let it go. He could have discussed it more, but he didn't have any desire to bother his subordinates with such prattle. Besides... it was better than admitting that he really didn't pay enough attention to them to know them for anything, save manipulation.
As she usually didn't sleep face down with her backside in the air, Maya had her first indication that something was off at the moment. Of course, the grogginess remaining from her sleep made it a bit difficult for her mind to fully take it in, and so she had to actually feel it for herself. So, she slid a hand down to her rear and confirmed that, yes, it was up off the mattress. Adding to her confusion was that she could feel that her buttocks were tighter than before, though that was a rather pleasant discovery. A girl did like to get herself more attractive, after all, and part of what would be pleasing would be her 'tail'... which apparently had a real tail, as the long, thin and fur covered thing that she grabbed onto next was clearly such an appendage.
Surprised to wakefulness by that discovery, she shot up to sit on the bed, still holding her new tail. A tug proved that it was real, and her mind managed to realize that it wasn't a dream. With that, she managed to comprehend that the bobbling on her chest had grown, and that her cleavage had been bouncing when she'd sat up and when she'd yanked on the tail in a way that a guy would appreciate. Cupping her breasts, she hefted them and saw that they were certainly larger, which oddly made her happy.
In fact, she was finding it all rather good, since a glance at her legs confirmed that they were as nice as the rest of her. Sure, she'd always been relatively pleased by her figure, but the fact that her form was a bit shapelier was something that a girl who normally expected to be considered 'cute' could definitely appreciate.
Heck, even her hair seemed to be sleeker, as her fingers seemed to be gliding over the soft locks better than they had ever done before. They even seemed to be a bit longer, and more feminine. A part of her wanted to go and preen a bit before a mirror, as she wanted to see how her hair looked now, and how she could get it styled around her... ears?
It took her a moment to confirm it, but what she'd found as she'd been touching her hair was true. She had round, thin ears that were on top of her head of the sort that were not human. However, she could tell what they were from.
