Two years after 'Serenity Street' had begun broadcasting across the 'NATOid' member-states, Dita looked over the food stores and equipment and realized that she didn't have much time left herself even with her body put into as near to stasis as she could without affecting her mind.
Fortunately, her astral projection had found something else.
"How many of us have actually slept with Minami?" asked the American.
Half the Committee held up their hands.
"Good lord!" said the Japanese rep. "If this gets out my people will lose serious face."
"I thought you were Buddhist," said the American.
"It's just an expression," said the Japanese man.
"Sort of adds a new meaning to the term 'international relations,'" said April Konnors, putting her own hand down.
"Be that as it may, we need to get to this evidence of psionic abilities manifesting-" began Lo Pan, the Taiwanese representitive.
"If I may," said an unfamiliar voice.
"That's the voice in the recordings," noted the American.
A figure faded into view on the central stand. "If I may address this council? I am Ditae."
"You're the woman from the moon citadel," said the German. "Why are you speaking English?"
"Because not all of you speak German, nor are all of you fluent in my language," said Ditae's transparent image.
"What brings us the honor of this audience then?" drawled the American.
The transparent woman hesitated but finally plowed ahead with it. "I'm suggesting that to speed up the process wherein our people can dialogue -"
