She actually felt rather proprietory towards their relationship, as she'd helped to get the two of them together. One might have said that she'd tried to play matchmaker, but the fact was that the two of them had really done it themselves. What she and her sisters had done was to smooth over the rough edges, and help them get together.
Of course, that didn't mean that she wouldn't stop teasing them, as it was too much fun not to.
Still, she felt a responsibility towards the two of them. She couldn't think of not telling his wife that he was returning, and she certainly wasn't going to leave out his mother. Both of them would have to be told, and neither one could be left out.
And if Genma had to at least sweat it out for a while, then so much the better.
