And Nabiki's own sisters had almost been as bad. Kasumi had a tendency to sigh, and getting motherly to the both of them, while Akane seemed to consider romance to be something to go into ready to fight for, sometimes, literally. Fortunately, she could keep a level head for all five of them, and so they managed not to cause too much grief on top on what had already been coming up.
Now, the two of them were married, and she was a friend to them both. Love like theirs didn't come around too often, and so she didn't want to cause it any trouble she didn't have to. That didn't mean that others couldn't cause problems, but she could do her best to smooth them over.
