With the knowledge of the fact that their father arranged for one of them to be married to Ranma Saotome, the first thing Nabiki did when she got back to her room was to look up the telephone number of Ranma's wife and explain carefully what had been arranged. That way, they could avoid a big misunderstanding and the wrath of the wife could be properly directed to their father.
At that moment, Nabiki also made a mental note to arrange a future appointment with Dr. Tofu for their father once the wife of Ranma Saotome gets through with him for making such an arrangement.
Regardless of their father's mastery of Anything Goes martial arts, Nabiki knew that it was no match for the power that Ranma's wife displayed when she got angry. She recalled the time Ryoga came along and did his usual cursing of Ranma. The wife did not take kindly to someone blaming her husband for his own faults in life so she took care of the matter. An ambulance had to be called after her confrontation with Ryoga. It seemed that with the extent of his injuries, Ryoga would not be leaving the hospital for at least a few months.
To be honest, getting on her bad side is fairly difficult to do since she usually is a kind-hearted young woman.
Akane and Nabiki first met her when the school year started. She seemed to be a normal, beautiful high school girl. Of course, there was something strange about her with the way she acted sometimes but nobody really cared. After all, they were in the Nerima district after all where strange things are common.
Ranma Saotome also happened to be in Japan at that time, going to school thanks to a truant officer. The reason why he was in Japan was because Nodoka had been able to track Genma down and wanted an update on her manly son. So for a while, Ranma could live life as a normal teenager who went to school like other normal teenagers.
Then he met her.
He found himself at a loss of how to properly court her since he never really had any idea about girls thanks to his father. So he had to rely heavily on Akane, Nabiki and Kasumi for advice. Considering that he had saved Kasumi once from some thugs, the Tendo girls agreed to help him out. After months of courting, the two tied the knot in late December.
Shortly after the wedding, Ranma had to leave again with his father. Genma had been able to convince his wife to take his son to one last place, a Chinese training ground known as Jusenkyo, so that he could become a man amongst men. Nodoka reluctantly agreed but made her husband promise to bring him back within a few months. It was a painful separation for Ranma and his wife but she kept her head up high, knowing that he would be back soon.
Nabiki stopped reminiscing about past events when she found the number. 'Let's get this over with.' After she made the call, a person on the other end answered.
"Hello?"
"Hi! May I please speak with..." Nabiki quickly glanced down at the name on her paper.
