The telephone conversation lasted for a few minutes with Nabiki Tendo explaining as many details about the arrangement made by her father to unite the Schools of Anything Goes Martial Arts. After the explanation, the wife thanked Nabiki for the information (and was mildly surprised that it was on the house) before hanging up the phone.
"Um...are you alright, madam?" asked Hanatarou as he looked up from checking his medical kit. As a member of Soul Society's 4th Division, he had to be ready to go out and heal any fellow Shinigami from the injuries that they could sustain in battle against Hollows.
"WAI! He's coming back to me!" squealed the female in delight.
"M-madam?" Hanatarou was visibly scared.
She paused and noticed Hanatarou. "Sorry! I was just excited that Ranma would be coming back."
The frail healer Shinigami ran his right hand through his black hair. "I see. Wait a moment! Other than the other Shinigami in the area investigating the strange Hollow movements, nobody knows about you! And how were you able to marry Ranma without a big fuss from others?"
"You forgot the fact that I'm using a temporary human body and can be seen by normal people. It can't be helped if I wanted to get closer to Ranma and keep an eye on his unusual spiritual energy as Captain-Commander Yamamoto ordered. With the slaughter of the 46 Chambers and the strange Hollow activity, the concerns regarding my marriage are going to be the last thing on anyone else's minds."
"What's so strange about this Ranma guy anyway?" Hanatarou put in another roll of bandages into his kit.
"I'm not sure yet but it's gotta be huge if there are Menos Grande Hollows taking an interest in him." Although she had been assured by the 7th Division's Captain that they would make sure no Hollow gets too close to her husband while he was away, she couldn't help but worry. The sooner he was back within her reach, the better. At least this way if there's any trouble, she can change into her Shinigami form thanks to Urahara's gadget and protect her spouse from danger.
As far as she was concerned, no Menos Grande or Grand Fisher Hollow is going to take away the husband of...
