Lamp Of Mihoshi - Gonyoo:: Trouble Spots [Episode 148887]

by Kender

This was the sort of thing that Soun dreaded, as he was a father who cared deeply about his children. He was rather clueless about a lot of things, and had all the moral fortitude of a bullied child at times, but no one could doubt that he cared about his daughters. How could one not know his feelings when he sobbed them out to any around him at a moment's notice?

His middle daughter might not have been the dutiful caretaker, or the baby girl that he was so proud of, but she was still his child. To him, the only dangers that Nabiki should ever face would attain the level of a papercut. If he could have gotten away with protecting her from the world, he would have done it long ago. But since she was growing into an attractive and intelligent young woman, he knew that he had reasons to be proud of her. Still, she wasn't one for roughing it, and all sorts of dire fates awaited her in his imagination.

"Nabiki! NABIKI! NABIKI!" he cried out, running and looking around himself at the same time. He knew that she didn't have pride keeping her from accepting help when she needed it. She was the sort of girl who was rather practical, and she would answer him if she could. Yet, if she didn't answer, that could mean that she would be in big trouble. His intellectual daughter could be lying in some sort of ditch somewhere, and would be left out for the elements to handle.

That simple thought sent him into a fit of terror that had his knees rising up to the level of his belly as he ran around trying to find her sooner than later. His main concern was in that he wanted to find her before something terrible happened. As her father, he could not allow that sort of thing to happen, and was going to do all that he could, even if he had to run with tears of fear in his eyes, as he was doing at the moment.

Of course, running like that wasn't a good idea under any circumstances, and since this place could give anyone the direction sense of a Hibiki, he couldn't know where he was going. All he knew was that his daughter was out there somewhere, and that her life could be on the line.

So, it was easy for him to trip over the tree root, and fall with all the grace of a vulture with a wounded wing.

The sound of her father's yells were the sort of thing that Nabiki knew just on tone alone, what with years of experience of listening him to blubber and cry. Since he could do that if he had a stomach ache, or was faced with a special dinner, she didn't put much stock into it. For all he knew, he could be in the middle of being told that he was going to get new clothing.

She had more important things to do, instead of pandering to his latest outburst. Being lost was not a fun thing, and she wasn't happy about it. After all, being the intelligent girl that she was, she'd marked off a spot to show herself where she'd been, and had managed to come across it when walking in two different directions. When she came back to it a third time after travelling in a straight line, she knew that she was in trouble.

"This, as it were, is not good," she muttered to herself.

Genma was most assuredly not having the sort of day that knew that he could have. With his son being the heir to the throne of a wealthy kingdom, he could have been relaxing in some sumptuous room while servants waited on his every desire. However, he'd been stuck with the sort of trouble that he did not want. He'd even wound up with a piglet in desperate need of dramamine in his pants, chucking up whatever slop he'd had for lunch.

That was why he was on the other side of the bus as the rest of them went to look around. Not that they'd had much choice, since most of them had stumbled out after what that fool at the steering wheel called 'driving'. Not only was her nauseous himself, but he had something he didn't want to think about in his pants. Pulling them off, he went over to the nearest body of water that he could find, and went to wash off the mess as best he could. It took a couple of tries before he managed it, but soon enough, he'd gotten the gunk off. Moving to a standing position, he held up his pants, and tried to use the air to dry up as much of the moisture as it could.

However, that put him in a rather bad position.

"Shampoo not know if should be disgusted, or find sad," muttered the glaring Amazon.

Ukyo snorted. "I'm with you there, sugar. That is something that I never want to see."

"Guess bravado needed to make up, hmm?"

"True. But it won't save him."

"Is so."

Upon hearing that, and seeing what the girls were doing, Genma was aware that he could be in for a bit of pain.

"Now, he is most deserving of that fate," Kuno commented sagely as he watched the two 'serving girls' smash down the proof that the Saotome line was tainted.

Genma would have disagreed with him, but he was too busy getting bashed over the head by the two girls, and then being hit by Shampoo to Ukyo, who tossed him off to the side, while:
