Concerned by that fact, she pushed aside any emotions as she turned her normal look down upon her fellow villager. "Dita, what are you doing here?"
"Huh? I...." the redhead began, looking bewildered before she blinked it away to go back to her normal bright eyed look. "That's right!"
"What is?"
"I came to see if Mister Outsider was hungry!"
"That does sound like something that you'd do," the pale girl replied.
"Exactly. I figured that after all that he'd been through, he'd want something to eat, so I cooked as many dishes as I thought that he could need. There is a lot, but...."
"You want to give it to him."
"You've got it. So, Mister Outsider? Would you like to eat what I've made for you?" Dita asked hopefully."
"Food?" Ranma grunted, seeming to be still a bit out of it.
"Uh-huh. I made it for you, so that you don't have to go hungry."
"Ya made it... for me?"
"You've got it. Will you try it, for me? Please?"
The pigtailed boy found himself staring at the girl with the nasty pointed ears who was bent over a little at the waist and was leaning in towards him with an expectant look on her face. A tray of food that he had to admit smelled great was held at chest level, and he was tempted to take it. But for some reason, the idea of doing that did make him feel a bit guilty, though he couldn't figure out why. His stomach didn't have those sorts of dilemmas and growled loudly at the scents assailing his nose.
"Sounds like your tummy wants it."
"If nothing else," Meia sighed, brushing her hair from her forehead, "you do make good meals."
"Thank you! Now, if Mister Outsider tried it, maybe he'd think so too. I did make it for him so that he'd have a better time than he did when he went to sleep."
Ranma blinked at the force of her pure friendliness, and wondered what he should do, while:
