Extra large butterfly net. Check.
Clever Disguise (aka Batman costume). Check.
Large boulder atop hill. Check.
Wooden plank. Check.
Acme Indestructible Fulcrum (aka Anvil). Check.
Small stick of explosive. Check.
Large pillow. Check.
Genma stuck the explosive under the boulder, then raced down to the plank which had been set upon the fulcrum.
He picked up the butterfly net and then realized he'd forgotten to put on the batman costume. Well, no problem, he was a quick change artist.
BOOM! exploded the stick of dynamite.
rumble rolled the boulder down the hill.
CRUNCH went the boulder atop the naked Genma.
Ranma ate slowly and carefully, not because of the quality of food.
"PAI CHECK!"
No, it was because of the audience.
Meia sighed, picked up her weapons, and went off to find a nice fight to unleash some tension on.
Dita watched with bated breath. Mainly because Mister Outsider still looked like he was going to bolt at any second.
Various villagers watched because the boy was entertainment and it wasn't like there was anything on TV.
Meanwhile, Ranma was trying to make his meal last longer because all the girls were keeping their distance as long as he was eating and getting closer wasn't something he wanted them to do.
Genma, now sporting a few random bandages, checked again. This time for sure!
Hsssssssss went the fuse.
Batman-clothed Genma stood on one end of the board and clutched the butterfly net close.
BOOM! went the dynamite.
WHAM! went the boulder onto the plank.
ZOOOM! went Genma up into the air.
Genma grinned in anticipation as he passed a cloud. He would achieve total surprise with this, scoop up his wayward son, escape the village, and make his way back to Japan. He could just see it.
Genma ascended past a startled duck. Another cloud. A small mountain peak atop which some hermit in a lotus position cracked an eye open in order to frown and shake his head. Ah, now he was descending again. Further. Faster. Hey, waitaminute. He'd overshot the village?
Olaf Olafsson of Olaf's Fyne Guarde Dogges stared as someone in a batman costume and carrying a butterfly net crashed into his training yard.
CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP!
"AIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Olaf scratched his head. "Them thar tourists get nuttier ever' year. Don't they?"
Fang, his lead dog, just nodded sagely and went back to sleep.
