Great Will/Tribals: In The Air.... [Episode 152047]

by Kender

Eating the food was good for Ranma at the moment. It was filling, good for him, and actually quite tasty. In addition, it gave him something to do, and kept his mind on something pleasant, as well as kept the girls away from him.

Not that he understood why that was, as he didn't understand how they worked. But since it was working, he wasn't about to question how things were going.

After all, he already had enough problems as it was. To him, cats were evil creatures, ready to bite, claw, and... and... do all sorts of things that gave him chills every time he thought of gleaming eyes in the dark. Then there were girls, who he had never had much experience with, but were strange in their ways as well. Putting them together just seemed to be designed to give him all sorts of problems.

However, he was having trouble understanding what was going on. None of the cat-girl beings were trying to attack him, which was good, but he didn't know why that was. Heck, one had actually kept him in her lap, almost protectively, which was strange. Then there was the one who was giving him food that was pretty good. And his father wasn't around, which was odd, considering the fact that his old man had always told him that it'd make him too soft if he hung out with girls.

So he ate, filling his belly, and hoping that he'd get some clue as to what he should be doing. He knew that his old man would be coming for him, as he couldn't see his father doing anything else. The old man was nothing if not predictable about his desire to be the one to have constant control over his son's training.

On the other hand, it did seem that these girls were not as mean as the nasty balls of fur, claws and teeth that haunted his nightmares from time to time. They were apparently feeding him for some reason, though he didn't know why. If they had been human girls, he would have thought that it was just because they were being nice. Perhaps they were less mean versions of their smaller cousins. If that was the case, then he'd have to take them on differently from girl to girl.

Of course, he wasn't about to let his guard down just yet....

Genma rubbed the back of his forearm across his forehead, and smiled over his handiwork. Then he winced as he felt the pain from the various bites on his arm. But that was a small mistake after working on what would certainly prove to be a success for him.

With the ramp that he'd built on the top of this cliff, he'd be able have a high enough position so that he could get some really good air time with his glider. All he'd have to do then would be to toss the explosive that he'd gotten, blowing a hole in the side of whatever building that they had his son in. Then he could drop some smokebombs down, and he'd be able to snatch his son back, getting away long before they would even know that they were gone.

So, he strapped his bombs to his body, and strapped himself securely to the glider. Then he put on the goggles and leather flying cap, making certain that he was properly attired for flight. Then he took his position at the start of the ramp, getting hunched over so that he could get the wings at the right angle.

After that, all that was left was to run for the end of the ramp, and into the wild blue yonder. He went as quickly as he could, and leapt off with all the strength that he could manage. For a moment, he hung in the air, almost seeming to be weightless, even as he tried to turn towards the village.

And that was when he blinked in surprise, as the glider wings made tearing noises. That was followed not by a turn to the side, but one towards the ground, as he started to tumble a bit. Once the wings sheared off due to his weight, he just had one direction to go in, and that was towards the ground.

Frantically, he tried to toss off the explosive, which whistled as it went down before him, exploding as it landed, which sent up a bunch of rocks flying up into the air. He came down before them, and crashed down into the crater that had been made as the various pieces of stone, some as big as his gut, landed in a nice pile right on top of him, with only a twitching hand sticking out.

At that moment, the smokebombs went off, letting out little clouds through the spaces between the rocks.

This was her chance to talk to Mister Outsider. He clearly liked her food, and seemed to be a really nice person. She was certain that she could be friends with him, if only she was given the chance. And the only way that she'd get such an opportunity would be to go and actually talk to him.

Knowing that, Dita moved over to him and leaned over to look him in the face. "Mister Outsider?"

"Gah!" went the boy as he saw a Tribal face appearing right in front of him.

"Is something the matter? Can I help?"

"'Help'?"

"Yes! I'd like to be your friend, and friends help friends, right?"

His jaw worked up and down several times as he looked back at her. "'Friends'?"

"Of course, silly! You and me. Please?"

"I... uh...."

"Yes?"

"I...."

She leaned in close, with her eyes wide with hope, while:
