Because of that, Mrs. Tendo had borne a bit more confidence that her family would be taken care of, even though she had to leave the planet herself.
But she'd left her mark on her adopted world in the form of her three half human daughters. Each of them was an individual that she knew would be special, and had not wanted to leave any of them when she'd had to go back to the world of her birth. However, she'd had to go, and circumstances had made it so that she could not take them with her. It was a hard thing to ask a mother, but in the end, she'd decided that it would be better for them to stay where they were, and as she was a mother who wanted only the best for her children, that was what happened.
Of course, when she'd first come to this blue-green planet, she hadn't expected to wind up with a human husband, and half-breed children. Yet, when she'd met Soun Tendo, it had started a chain of events that had put her firmly on the path to being a wife and mother. For a time, that had defined her life, and she'd managed to find her own way in this alien culture. She'd had a home and a life amongst the native people, and learned to be a part of the society.
But then had come the moment that she'd half expected. The point when she'd had to go back to where she was born had come, and she'd had to leave all that she had made. Had she had a choice in the matter, she would have stayed with Soun and the children, but instead, she had to leave them, and hope that she could bear to miss them for their time apart.
All that was something that Kasumi knew, and remembered as having happened. As far as she knew, her mother had not died when she was a child, and had not been human. But then again, she had no idea that the timeline had shifted either.
