The door swung open and Misato strode into her apartment with a call of "We're back!" Asuka trailed behind her, glancing around furtively, the paper bag with her recent purchases clutched to her chest. After a few moments, Misato shrugged and declared, "Guess Shinji's not here."

Asuka sighed in relief, her tight shoulders slumping slightly.

"Ok!" Misato turned to Asuka with a grin. "I know you'll be anxious to try out your new toys. See you later!"

As Asuka watched Misato casually walked into her room and pulled the door shut behind her. She looked down at the bag she held, glanced back toward the front door of the apartment, and sprinted to her own room.

Shuting the door behind her, Asuka turned around and leaned against it. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and sighed tiredly. Then her eyes blinked open, and she looked down at the brown paper bag she was holding. She looked toward her bed, then toward her desk. For a moment she pursed her lips in thought, then with a determined nod of her head walked to her desk and sat down, dropping the bag on top of a textbook.

"Ok." She said looking at the bag. Then she looked at her computer. "Before I do anything, I need to make sure all my homework's done!" A few mouse clicks brought up a screen on her system. "And it is . . ." She stared at the screen for several moments. "I was also trying to get a novel started," She moved her mouse over one icon, then hesitated. "But I'd better brainstorm a better start before getting into it though . . ." She turned her head and stared at the brown paper bag.

"Better at least take a look at what Misato made me get," Asuka muttered to herself. She pulled the paper bag in front of her, took a deep breath, and opened the bag.

"Alright." Reaching into the bag gingerly, she pulled out the first item shrink-wrapped to a cardboard backing. "Silken Caress Red, five inch multi-speed vibrator, four AA batteries included," she paused reading to look down to confirm the packet of batteries next to the vibrator.

"This multi-speed stimulator . . ." She silently continued reading the product description on the back of the package. Once she finished she turned it back, and looked at the sex toy. Taking a deep breath, she ran her fingernail on where the cardboard was bonded with the plastic, and with a pull ripped away the cardboard. From the plastic shell, she gingerly drew out the vibrator.

Pulling out the batteries, she opened the battery compartment at the bottom of the vibrator, checking the indicated polarities twice before inserting the batteries. She looked carefully at the rubber incorporated into the battery compartment, looked closely at the 'Waterproof' portion of the cardboard label, then shut the compartment, sliding the plastic piece locking it closed.

"Ok, it now has power. So I should make sure it works." With a nod of her head, Asuka took the vibrator, and with twist and a click turned it on. She looked at the softly vibrating object in her hand, then reached down to turn the speed up, then up once again. Then a quick twist in the other direction turned the vibrator off. "Well, it vibrates."

Asuka picked up the cardboard backing, and looked it over once again. "Doesn't say how fast though, you'd think they'd list the Rpm's . . . wait, there's the makers website." Putting down the vibrator, she keyed up her computer and opened her web-browser. "You'd think Rpm's would be something everyone wants to know."
