Bringing up a display indicated that he was missing five days, roughly from that first day he'd picked up that other virus to when he'd woke up.
The virus had spread quickly and had gone through population centers like fire through a drought-starved forest. Starting in Europe, it had gone global the day before he'd caught that other virus. It had apparently been hitting the news just prior to that, but he hadn't been paying attention to anything like that at the time.
