Since I have a new position with connections, I should make a save. Save game.
Saving game... done.
What time is it now roughly?
It's about 5 in the afternoon. You still have about six and a half hours or so before lights out. "Since you'll be working with us in the future, we should set you up at the Club Office," said Iori.
Say: "You guys actually have your own office?"
"Actually, it's one big office shared by all the sports clubs. We have our own small cubicle to store our stuff and records," explains Hibiki. She gives you back your PDA. "We'll give you a few minutes to get changed and then you can meet us outside the changing room so we can show you our little space."
Say: "Sure thing." Head to men's changing room and once inside, change back into standard uniform. Also, get my stuff from the locker.
[Shinai and armour have been taken out of your inventory. Your attire changes from your Kendo uniform to your school uniform. Your sports bag is secured in your hands with all your stuff.]
Head to the changing room doors and meet up with Hibiki and Iori.
You meet up with your new associates in the gym. They head to the gym exit that leads to the main corridor.
Follow them.
As you follow them, you notice many notices for club events, schedules for reservation of facilities and some other things. Iori and Hibiki stop in front of a door which is marked 'Duelist Academy Sports'. Iori connects his PDA to the electronic lock on the door and opens it up.
So what's in there?
The space is pretty large with cubicles almost everywhere. The Kendo club cubicle is about ten steps away from the entrance on the left. The cubicle itself has several papers on a desk along with a laptop computer. Iori sat down on the chair in front of the desk and pulled up a schedule on the laptop. "May I borrow your PDA? I need to upload a few things for it."
Hand Iori my PDA.
He connects your device to his computer and taps in a few commands. After a few moments, your PDA beeps. "I've uploaded the access code to get into the office along with the Kendo club practice schedule, event schedule and staff schedule. You should go over it later." He gives you back your PDA.
Say: "Thanks. I'll see you two around. Got some things to do." Exit office and head outside the Athletics Centre and go back to my room.
Your new associates nod before checking the club E-mail on the laptop. You head outside and in ten minutes, you are in your room. Shingo and Minoru aren't at home so they must be busy with other things (most likely their own club activities or perhaps some dueling).
Let's drop my Kendo stuff off. And I may as well get the homework out of the way (and keep myself energized on the homework with supper).
You devour one of those frozen dinner products as you finish up your work. It is now 7:14 PM.
I may as well take the time to make a quick deck tweak. Take out Autonomous Action Unit and replace with Shield Wall.
Done.
I think by this time, there should be more girls out. Let's go hunting! And strap on the Duel Disk in case Duelist of Righteousness duties kick in.
Figures. You quickly say a hello to Minoru and Shingo as you head out your residence. Where do you want to hunt?
First... are there any girls or interesting activities around my dorm?
Not really. It's a quiet and cool night with hardly anybody out except for a small young male in an Osiris Red uniform with bluish-green hair near the lake that separates your dorm and the Obelisk Blue female dorm. The Osiris Red student at the lake is Marafuji Sho who acts as Yuki Judai's sidekick.
The hell?!? Go check out what he's doing.
As you move closer, you can see that he's trying to untie a boat so he can row to the Obelisk Blue female dorm.
Approach him and ask: "What are you doing?"
Sho gave a frightened yelp before noticing you. "I... um..." He pauses as he focuses on something in his mind before replying. "I'm going to the female dorm to meet Asuka and find my happiness!!"
Say: "Um... what the hell are you talking about? If you don't start making sense, I may have to report you for suspicious behaviour."
"Asuka gave me a letter saying that she's in love with me and that she wants me to meet her at the back of the Obelisk Blue female dorm tonight! She's probably waiting right now!!"
How the hell can a runt like him get a gal like Asuka? Say: "Show me this letter of yours."
Sho took an envelope with a lipstick mark on it out of his Osiris Red jacket and hands it to you.
Open the envelope and read the letter.
The letter reads...
I have been in love with you since I first met you. Tonight, I will wait for you at the back of the Obelisk Blue female dorm.
Tenjyoin Asuka
I highly doubt Asuka would develop feelings that quickly after seeing a guy once.
Unless it's you?
Shut up! Anything else on the letter?
On the bottom, there's a small last bit which reads...
Arrive swiftly and you may receive a sweet surprise, Yuki Judai.
So this isn't a letter for Sho. It's for Judai. You know... this may be an opportunity. Pull up character profile for Marafuji Sho.
A 15 year old who runs a Vehicroid deck. He's the younger brother of Marafuji Ryo, who is a top student in the Academy and is known as the Kaiser of Duelist Academy. Because of a poor duel years back and his brother being angry at him for not accessing things thoroughly, his self-confidence has taken a severe beating.
Hmmmmm... maybe I could give Sho a boost of confidence.
Another good deed? Why so generous?
Karma rewards good deeds so I'll eventually get something good in the future. Know what I mean?
Perv.
Put the letter back into the envelope and give it back to Sho. Then say: "As a student of the Academy, I can't willingly turn a blind eye on someone who intends to trespass the female's dorm. For your own good, I can't let you get to that dorm."
"But...!"
Say: "Do you truly believe that you have something precious with Asuka?"
The other boy pauses before looking you squarely in the eye and replying. "Yes. I do."
Say: "In that case, show me your resolve to defend your precious love through a duel! If you win, I'll let you pass. If you lose... your fate will be in my hands."
Sho's hand hovers over his pocket before he took out his own deck of cards. Then his expression changes from a determined one to a sheepish one. "I left my Duel Disk back at my dorm."
That just sucked all the seriousness out of the scene. Do a facefault (which won't damage anything in my inventory), recover and then shout: "Well, then go get it!!!"
Sho quickly leaves the area and comes back within eight minutes with his Duel Disk and the deck inserted in it. A new duel is about to begin...
