Text-Based Yu-Gi-Oh GX: Attack of the Vehicles! [Episode 152080]

by Yasanagi

Put my dueling glasses on first and then save game.

Since you never mentioned taking off the glasses since your duel with Momoshiro, there's no need to put them back on as they are already on.

Saving game... done.

Activate Duel Disk. Draw opening hand and then give the first turn to Sho.

Sho activates his own Duel Disk and draws the top five cards from his deck for his opening hand and a sixth card for his Draw Phase. "To start things off, I'll throw two cards face down and summon Submarineroid in defense mode!" A submarine with a pair of eyes appears on the field. "That ends my turn!"

Stats on his monster?

Level 4 with an attack of 800 and a defense of 1800. A machine monster with a special ability. It can attack you directly even if you have monsters on your side of the field. Then once it deals battle damage to you, it switches to defense mode.

Hit and run? Sneaky... draw for Draw Phase. What do I have to work with?

You have Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End (8/3000/2500), Gemini Elf (4/1900/900), Judgement of Vohdan (Trap), The Shallow Grave (Normal Magic), Dark Wall of Air (Instant Magic) and Chaos Field (Trap). The reason you have CED is simply because the original Negi had a scary encounter with a dragon in the Negima manga. Here, you'll be the one giving the scary encounters to your opponents.

Awesome. What's Chaos Field?

When your opponent attacks, you can take control of your opponent's face up monster with the lowest attack and your opponent's face up monster with the highest attack will attack the monster you just stole this way. Any battle damage inflicted this way is done to your opponent's Life Points instead of yours. Then your opponent's Battle Phase ends.

Nice. Set Judgement of Vohdan and Chaos Field. Then summon Gemini Elf in attack mode and take a risk by attacking his monster!

"I'll activate my trap card! Magic Cylinder!!" Your life points are down to 2100 and his monster is safe and sound. Getting hit by a trap card you use frequently against your opponents is painful, eh?

Shut up and end turn.

Sho draws a card and switches Submarineroid into attack mode. He orders his monster to attack you directly.

It's times like this that I really hate this version of the game where you start off with 4000 Life Points instead of 8000. Activate Judgement of Vohdan and switch The Shallow Grave with whatever is on top. Then shuffle the deck.

You switch your card and you get Shield Wall (Instant Magic). Your deck gets shuffled and your Life Points are safe. Because Sho's monster didn't hit you, it doesn't go back into defense mode. Sho ends his turn. For your draw, you get Draining Shield (Trap).

What?

It negates the attack of one of your opponent's monsters. Then you gain Life Points equal to the monster's attack.

Not bad. Better than Enchanted Javelin... set Draining Shield. Enter Battle Phase and then attack with Gemini Elf.

"Hold it! I'll use my trap card before you can declare your attack! Forbidden Entry!!" The second face down card of Sho's reveals itself. The effect of his card is that it switches a monster on your side of the field into face-up defense mode. No attacking for you this turn.

Crap!!

That's not all. His trap card also forces you to discard a card at random. And you just lost Chaos Emperor Dragon.

Mega crap!!

"I'll activate the Instant Magic card Guard Penalty which allows me to draw a card from my deck when your monster switches to defense mode!!"

And he gets card advantage too?!? Perfect... end turn.

Sho draws a new card and summons Steamroid (4/1800/1800) to the field. The monster's special effect is that during the damage step in battle when it attacks an opponent's monster, it gets an additional 500 attack points. When an opponent's monster attacks it, it loses 500 attack points during the damage step.

That may work to my advantage later.

He then activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your set Draining Shield before declaring an attack with his Submarineroid.

Perfect timing! Activate Chaos Field!!

Your trap card forces his Steamroid to attack his Submarineroid. With Steamroid's effect boosting its attack power to 2300 during the damage step, Sho loses 1500 Life Points and his Submarineroid. He's a bit shaken up but he realizes that he still has a slight lead. He set a card face down before ending his turn.

So what do I get for my Draw?
