Anime 40,000: Rough around the edges [Episode 152820]

The shake and shudder of the dropship did more to comfort Usagi than she expected. It was almost hard to care that they were being fired on by nearly a dozen Eldar ships deployed in that Chaos twisted version of the already Chaos tainted Immaterium that those thrice damned Slaanesh worshiping Eldar specialized in creating when you felt yourself being pummeled to death by your own ship. It was made worse by the fact that the Heretics had taken part of the defense grid and were shooting at everyone else. Even those faithful to the God Emperor were adding additional problems, the thrice damned to Khorne ships could have their position triangulated for a moment after firing, and not only did the fools on the ground not realize that YOU COULDN'T HIT SOMETHING IN THE WARP, but they evidently felt that hitting them came before missing the Sisters!

It was, unsurprisingly, ‘friendly fire’ that clipped the ship as it descended.

“AIEEeeee!” we’re all goingta diewe’reallgontaforgiveusoursinsand… Usagi felt her armor shift from mostly failing to protect her from the jerky battering, to utterly failing, the internal shocks unable to keep up.

“O.K. PEOPLE, WE’VE BEEN CLIPPED, I’LL BE LETTING US DOWN US LITTLE FASTER NOW!” A voice shouted from the cockpit. Then a thud, to make all the previous bumps look tame, and a tearing sound as the bottom of the ship tore away.

A shout of “OUT LADIES, OUT,” and all the restraints disengaged, letting the sisters pour out of the ship to find…
