All of whom were gaping as a set of children approached who were known to some of them.
Akane recognized all of them, though she immediately started digging through her little pack to find her trading cards.
Nabiki just plain stared.
Kasumi half-hid behind her mother in order to stare.
Soun stared and made little gabbling noises. He'd seen them on television. He knew the name of the little boy, and he well remembered the promise made one night drinking with his old buddy Saotome. He also knew that neither his wife nor his children knew about that pledge, and his wife might... be a little concerned about the circumstances and setting if such were to come out.
Kimiko, on the other hand, merely saw some injured children. Children who sported tails and other things, perhaps, but still - tails.
