"You're going to have someone else teach him?" Silver asked.

"Anyone who really gets good be smart enough to know that learning from others is good idea."

"But weren't you going to teach him yourself?"

"That what I be doing."

"Oh?"

"This give him lesson on what he need to know, and get him stronger. Needs base to get to where he'd be able to get to the really good stuff. He learns, then I be able to teach him lots more. 'Sides, this way to have all sorts of skills."

"I see...."

Gnorrsh rubbed where his missing hand should have been connected to his arm. "This not about me just make him learn how I fight. It be about making him stronger, and need to adjust things to his style, or yuir bringing him to me be useless."

"Too true. Is he ready for this step?"

"In body? Uh-huh. In his mind? Be fun to see."

The elf merely raised a brow, and looked up at the rock troll, while:

• they continued to talk.
• after his training for the day, Ranma considered what would happen in the morning.
• the next day saw Ranma about to meet Gnorrsh's old army buddy.
• as in #3, but it turned out that the individual in question was a Japanese spirit. (i.e. a tengu)
• there were other students at the place where Ranma would be going.
• something else happened.
