Coupled Union - Warrior Bride: Elder Relations [Episode 155658]

by Kender

As she sat sipping her tea, Cologne looked out at the village and sighed. With the way that things stood, it was clear that her people needed a future. They were all living in a place where time had been forgotten, and they were growing more and more isolated. It had worked to protect them, since the governments had recognized that there was no desire for conquest from the Amazons.

But it was also frightfully repetitious, given that she was seeing things go basically the same every year. It was a comfortable routine though, with a life that she could see only needed some energy to get it going again. Fortunately, the new generation was proving to have that, as she was certain that her great-granddaughter would be a proactive leader.

The only problem was the fact that she needed to see that Shampoo had a stable relationship with her husband. Both teens truly loved each other, but they were young, and people of their age did make mistakes. Of course, sometimes, those 'mistakes' were not of their own making. At the moment, there was acceptance of what had happened from the other Amazons, though it was grudging from some, but there were those who would try to manipulate things to their own ends, like Ranma's own father. Then again, that man apparently had all the subtlety of a boulder rolling down a mountain, and the gentleness of one as well. He wouldn't be able to match a truly skilled manipulator, as such a person could make someone do something without recognizing that it was not their idea in the first place. And, if nothing else, she wanted to avoid having others ruin what was a pretty rare and true bond.

Besides, she was an old woman who wanted to see her great-granddaughter settled and happy, and needed a little fun before she passed on to joining her ancestors.

"Perhaps someone will go...." she murmured to herself.

"Then why not let me?!" Mousse whined from where he was tied to a chair.

Cologne whacked him on the head with her staff without even acknowledging that he'd spoken.

Confusion wasn't something that Genma was totally unfamiliar with, but that didn't mean that he liked to feel it. That sensation usually came around when something didn't work out as he had thought that it would, and trouble would be coming his way. He'd have to figure out what went wrong on the fly, if only to come up with a way to handle it long enough to get away.

Unfortunately, it came in the form of an annoyed son, which he couldn't understand at all. The boy should have been thanking him for getting them out of that situation. In that village, they apparently killed people who did the wrong thing, and for his son to simply disregard that fact was simply wrong in his opinion. Then again, the boy had already proven to be a bit clueless concerning life, and taking advice from an experienced person like him.

Perhaps the boy was feeling the after affects of being embraced by a girl like that. She had been quite the looker, with large firm breasts and long legs. But she was just some strange girl who'd been caught up in the excitement of her victory in that small local tournament. No doubt she would have merely calmed down, taken up the position of respect that her village would no doubt give her, and forgotten all about what her hug. But apparently something had given her a reason to chase them down, with no doubt some idiotic and archaic offense that meant that she would have to harm them.

And his boy was apparently still feeling some sort of physical desire for her. It was understandable, but, in the bigger scheme of things, it was undesirable. At least it did show that his son was ready for the companionship of a female, but he couldn't just have anyone. Certainly Tendo would have some lovely daughters, who would be ones who he was supposed to choose between in the end. It would have to be done soon though, as he didn't want to have any risk of ruining his chance of getting his promise with Soun ruined because the boy make a mistake under the influence of his hormones. That girl might have been an accidental and momentary contact, but, if Genma was not careful, the boy might slip unintentionally into a real relationship with a girl outside of the promise.

He didn't think that he had to worry about that though, given that his son was soon going to be introduced to Tendo's girls, one of whom he would marry.

By what Genma could see, there was nothing in the way of finishing the trip as he'd planned, while:
