Judai draws a new card and gives a grin. "Time to turn things up! I'll use Polymerization to fuse Burstinatrix and Clayman to form Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster (6/2000/2500)!" Now he has two strong monsters on the field along with a face down card. He orders the attack of Bladedge on your Magician's Valkyrie.
Activate Draining Shield.
His attack is negated and your life points shoot up to 5000. Undaunted, he has Rampart Blaster attack your Spellcaster and it gets sent to the graveyard. With nothing else to play, he ends his turn. For your three card draw, you get Thousand Knives (Normal Magic), Magician's Circle (Trap) and Mallet of Luck (Normal Magic). What cards do you want to keep?
Thousand Knives? Yuck... relies on a Dark Magician to be out to be useful. What about the other two cards?
Magician's Circle can only be activated when a Spellcaster monster attacks. Both players can search their decks and Special Summon 1 Spellcaster monster with an ATK of 2000 or less to the field in Attack Mode.
Hmmmm... may be useful to get out Dark Magician Girl and some other guys when going for the kill.
And Mallet of Luck's effect is that when you play it, you return it and any number of cards from your hand back to your deck. Then shuffle your deck and draw cards equal to the number of cards held in your hand previously.
Yet another somewhat broken card... draw all three and pay 1000 LP. Then activate Mallet of Luck!
You return four cards back to your deck and shuffle it before drawing four new cards. You get Premature Burial (Equip Magic), Knight's Title (Normal Magic), Sage's Stone (Normal Magic) and Solemn Wishes (Trap).
I really don't like cards that need a specific monster in play just to activate like Sage's Stone. This deck really needs to be tuned up... but first, set Solemn Wishes. Then let's activate Premature Burial to bring back Dark Magician.
Your life points go down to 3200 as you bring back Dark Magician to the field.
Activate Knight's Title to Special Summon Dark Magician Knight and use his ability to destroy Bladedge.
Your Spellcaster monster disappears and is replaced with a Warrior version of itself with same statistics more or less (7/2500/2100). Upon the successful Special Summoning, Bladedge gets destroyed.
Enter Battle Phase and destroy Rampart Blaster!
Judai activates his face down card which is his Hero Barrier trap card. When he has an Elemental Hero monster out on the field, he can negate your attack.
So much for that. I got nothing else to do so I'll end my turn.
He draws a card and places Rampart Blaster in defense mode. Then he activates its special ability to attack you directly while in defense mode. The damage done to you this way is reduced in half so you only take 1000 points of damage. He ends his turn.
Activate Solemn Wishes as his turn ends.
Your permanent trap card is now in effect. For your three card draw, you gain 1500 LP from Solemn Wishes and get Dark Magician's Spear (Equip Magic), Call of the Haunted (Trap) and Magical Pigeons (Instant Magic).
Explain the two magic cards I just drew.
Dark Magician's Spear can only be equipped on Dark Magician and it gives him the ability to pierce through DEF monsters like Bladedge and Cyber End Dragon. Magical Pigeons can only be activated when you have Dark Magician Girl on the field. Return DMG to your hand and Special Summon 2 Pigeon Tokens in defense mode (1/0/0) to the field. During the end of the turn, destroy the Pigeon Tokens and Special Summon DMG to the field.
Again with monster specific cards... keep Call of the Haunted only. Set it and end turn for now.
