As Judai draws a new card, he gets a funny look on his face and slightly groans in pain. "Is there something wrong?" asks Hayato.
The other boy grinned sheepishly. "Nothing's wrong. It's just that the breakfast I had today is coming back with a raging passion. Pardon me while I use the can!!" He quickly bolted from his spot on the floor and ran for the bathroom in their tiny dorm. As soon as the door closed, a nasty smell filled the air and you can hear a loud satisfied sigh from inside along with a lot of droppings being dropped.
Nothing takes priority over a good shit, I suppose. Say: "What did he eat for breakfast anyway?"
"It's just plain old oatmeal but seeing how it was boring, Judai-aniki tossed in some soy sauce and wasabi for extra flavour," said Sho with a sigh. He opened the window to let some fresh air inside.
Speaking of breakfast, I didn't really eat anything to replenish myself. And I didn't even clean myself up from yesterday. Say: "After hearing his colourful display, I think I'll pack up and vamoose. Now I know what I need to clean up for this deck." Make sure that I have everything with me before I head out.
Sho grinned. "I can't blame you. Anyways, you take care and I'll see you later at our upcoming session."
Exit the Osiris Red dorm and let's head back to my dorm. Out of curiosity, how does that duel affect my record and game status?
The duel simply falls under the "Did not complete" category. There's no penalty for that according to the program. And the number of duels under that category may play a role in events that are triggered later in the game.
I see. Then let's move on.
Before you head towards your dorm, you hear a female voice call out to you. "Negi!!"
Who is it?
You turn around to see Asuka jogging up to you. "I heard about what happened last night and I was wondering if you were really okay!"
Say: "I'm fine! But it's very nice of you to check up on me."
She gives a simple smile. "You're an Obelisk and we gotta look out for one another."
Say: "True. But that type of courtesy should be extended to anybody in the school. After all, regardless of what colour jacket we wear, we're all here to learn and grow."
"Of course." She then notices something. "I see you got yourself a second deck?" She's referring to the deck in your hand since she can clearly see your other deck in your Duel Disk.
Say: "Well... it's my dad's old deck. It was sent to me by an old friend of his who said that something happened to him and that this is all that's left of him."
Immediately, you see Asuka's face soften. "You're lucky. At least you have something special to remember your missing loved one. All I have are memories and a few photos of my brother... which isn't bad but still..." Her body language practically screamed out ANGST!!! as she drifted off.
Better try to reverse the angst and distract her.
Gonna hit on her?
There's a thought but that wouldn't be appropriate at this time. Say: "I was wondering... would you be interested in having a duel with me? I need to test out how my old man's deck works. I had a test duel with Judai a few minutes ago but he had to call it quits to deal with a major bowel emergency, a consequence of him adding extra flavour to his breakfast."
The atmosphere is lightened as Asuka gives a hearty laugh. "That confirms my suspicion that Judai's quite the interesting guy. As for a duel..." She quickly whipped out her PDA to check her schedule. "I got some time. I don't have a Duel Disk though so we'll have to go to the Obelisk Duel Arena so I can get one."
Say: "Sure." Let's go to the arena.
A few moments later, the two of you have arrived at the arena. You have your father's deck inserted in your Duel Disk. Asuka is standing several feet across from you and has just inserted her own deck into another Duel Disk.
I really should have tuned up first but I need to get a better idea of the deck mix. Anyways, save the game first. Then draw opening hand.
Saving game... done.
