That was it, and that was that, and she let her hold on that part of the coil pass. Things snapped back to the "now" part of the past. Time was coiled like a spring after all. She could go from 1990s Tokyo to Crystal Millenium Tokyo but couldn't walk the streets of 2006 Tokyo. Viewing it was another matter, but it was still easier to just deal with the corresponding sections of Time's coil by dropping up or down to the next spot on that coil.
The problem was that she'd just left when little Hotaru and Professor Tomoe had found Ranma. Twelve years old in 1991, Hotaru had been five when Geramatou had tried to possess her and been destroyed by the projection. Hotaru had been nine in 1989 when Ranma had been recovered.
Two years had passed while Professor Tomoe tried to figure out the secrets behind Ryu. Two years had passed with Hotaru getting to know and befriend her 'big brother' the cyborg. Two years which would see Usagi Tsukino about to rescue a little black cat from some bullies.
