Pokeboys: A Trio Of Flowers [Episode 157534]

by Kender

Having a garden such as the one that she was standing in was something that Sumire Kanzaki knew was amazing for a place like her homeland. She'd always been impressed by the way that the terraces had made for a flowing roll of the land, making it seem like it was naturally there. But knowing that it was made to look that way gave it a bit of character, as it showed how strong people could be.

However, she wasn't there to merely gawk at how the trees were placed so that their look combined with the rocks to give a solid feeling. She'd been asked to come there by her fa-ma's fa-ma, and she didn't want to brush that off. Others might have merely felt that they had to go because of the elder woman being the head of a major company, but she simply respected and cared about her Gran too much to be so naughty as to ignore her.

So, she strode through the garden, easily finding her way through the familiar space and smiled as she came up to where her Gran was waiting for her on a bench. "Hello, Gran!"

"Why, hello little one. It is good to see you," her Gran replied with a smile.

"It's always good to see me."

"That it is, my dear child."

"Of course," Sumire said with the sort of haughtiness that might have looked annoying on a woman, but just looked adorable here. "Now, what can I do for you?"

"Oh? Are you going to work for me?"

"Absolutely! I'm supposed to do it when I grow older, right?"

"Yes, but there's something that I need you to do now."

"There is?!"

The elder Kanzaki nodded with great gravity. "And it's really important."

"Really? What is it?"

"I need you to play, and make a friend."

"What? That's kid stuff. And I thought that it was important."

"Actually, this is as important a thing that you can do."

"Why? I can find a girl to make friends with anytime."

"But you can't make friends with a boy."

"There are plenty of pokeboys...."

"Not a pokeboy," her Gran corrected. "I'm talking about a real human boy. The government and I want you to be the one to go from our country to at least meet him."

"Ohh...."

"Now, do you think that you can do that?"

Sumire stood as tall as she could. "I sure can! There's no way that anyone could ignore my beauty and personality."

"That's a good girl," her fa-ma's fa-ma told her, patting her on the head with one broad hand.

"Gran...."

Maria sat and looked out the window at the rolling lands that sat beyond the glass, but she didn't really see it. Neither did she take much notice of the room around her, even to the point of not really taking much notice of the solidly built chair that she was sitting in. This wasn't because she didn't appreciate what was around her, but because her thoughts were far away at the moment.

She had just been asked to make friends with a boy, but not of the sort that she was familiar with. Rather, she was being asked to see what she could do for the sole human male on the planet. It was a strange request, considering how alone she was now, but she supposed that it was better than simply waiting around, remembering what she'd lost.

If nothing else, she was practical, as everyone around her said that was the case. In fact, people did show a bit of concern at how quiet she was, but she'd never felt right about being forceful or loud. It just wasn't in her to do that, and she couldn't be anyone other than who she was. Other people might be all for the big acts, but she was going to help others without making too much noise.

Besides, something about this called to her, and she decided that she would go for no other reason than to make a new friend. After losing so much to the Feydine, she needed something to at least look forward too. Life hadn't been nice to her, but she was going to see if she could be nice to this 'Ranma Saotome'.

The explosion blew soot out the door in a rushing cloud, and in both directions of the hallway.

"Is this really the girl that we want to have making friends with the boy?" asked one administrator to another.

The other woman shrugged. "She's brilliant, open minded, and enthusiastic about new experiences."

"So she can smile at him as she cheerfully builds something that can blow the two of them up?"

"This only happens every so often, and never in a way that really harms anyone."

"That is good to hear," the first administrator sighed. "When is she going to be told?"

"As far as I know...."

The soot covered face of a pretty girl in glasses appeared in the doorway. "If you are talking about how I am to be going to be going to see the boy, I know about it already."

"She has found out about it. Just how did you find out?"

"My handy new invention Mister Long Ear! It lets me hear things that are really far away."

"Ah. Okay," the second administrator commented, and turned to her compatriot. "Miss Kohran does make some really interesting things... when they don't blow up."

"I suppose that's something," the other woman replied.

"It's a lot," the little girl chirped, and grinned brightly, while:
