Dragon Wives: Can’t Squeeze Blood from a Stone, but You CAN Wring Truth from Silver [Episode 157693]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

Jane stepped back from the girl before reaching down to yank her off the ground with frightening speed. The dragon put a smile on the face of her human façade and straitened Nabiki’s hair out, as if grooming the family dog. “Good girl. Now, about my husband.”

“Wuh-what about your husband?” Nabiki asked quickly. “Whatever you want to know, I’ll tell you!” She was quick to say as she slunk down to a sitting position, back against the wall for support. She couldn’t feel her legs!

Jane rubbed her chin in thought, wondering where to start. “His background first. He seems almost deathly afraid to tell me certain things at times.”

Nabiki nodded her head quickly. “He’s practically an emotional retard with how he’s so unsure of how to really handle situations, especially with women. His father’s fault! Ranma’s not very open on anything because of his father!” She yelped out, quick to place blame somewhere other than herself.

“His Father?” Jane raised a curious eyebrow, but didn't let up her stance of intimidation. “What exactly did his fool of a father do?” Jane knew there was more but there was truth to what the girl was saying. Her Draconic senses just SCREAMED that she wasn’t getting the true story from this human.

“Too much to tell in one go.” Nabiki’s eyes widened as Jane made a fist. “But I’ll tell you what I can! There was the decade-long trip, with training that could count as child abuse; denying him friends, food, education! Not to mention engaging him to practically half of Japan and getting him cursed!”

“Hmm... I guess I can probe more intimate details from my husband.” The purple-tressed woman moved closer to Nabiki sniffing her nose. “Now... What about yourself? My husband could easily kick your ass if he wanted, yet something about you has him fearful... What power do you hold over him, wench?”

“Nuh-nothing!” Nabiki stuttered. “Nothing, except that I’m the sister of his true fiancée!” The girl with a pageboy haircut said quickly, trying to calm her beating heart. “I’m practically family to him and he has a healthy respect for me!”

“I hate lies...” Jane’s eyes narrowed dangerously as they took on a reptilian gleam. She jabbed her fingers into the joint between her shoulder and arm and applied pressure. “Now, unless you want a broken arm, I suggest you speak in truths.”

“AAAAARGH!” Nabiki couldn’t help but scream as pressure was applied. “It’s the truth! I swear! He knows to give me what I want so we all get along and the Dojo stays financially afloat!” That was one of her greatest abilities, adding one small bit of truth the story after another until someone was satisfied; usually getting her out of telling the whole truth. Hopefully Jane would fall for this, all martial artists did.

Jane didn’t seem to buy it. “I told you...” She then pulled Nabiki up harshly by her shoulder and kneed Nabiki right in the crotch. “I HATE lies...”

Nabiki practically doubled-over in pain, gasping at the intense pain from her pelvis.

“So are we going to talk or keep telling me lies?” Jane asked... And blinked as she heard a small trickling sound. She sneered as she saw a stream of yellow coming down the pathetic human’s leg and making one of her white socks bright yellow.

Lowering her head, Nabiki had to fight back tears as she pissed herself in front of this brute. “It... It’s true...” She chocked out. “I do things that financially support the Dojo and the dumb jock helps out.”

Wincing, Nabiki wished she could’ve taken that last part back. She was losing her cool, and when that happened, she showed more of her true thoughts... And that at this juncture in time could possibly land her in the hospital.

Fortunately, Jane let it slide... For now. She was more interested in pumping more information from this nasty little tramp. “How does my husband help? And why do I feel this help isn’t voluntary?”

“...It isn’t... But it keeps him housed and fed!” Nabiki said quickly, as if to justify it. “I mostly make bets on his fights, and reap in the cash when I get people suckered into betting against him...”

That was a practice Jane could overlook, but she could see in the human’s eyes that there was more... “And what else?”

“I just sell pictures...” Nabiki admitted slowly, knowing the full truth could get her ripped to shreds. “He makes for some great action shots during his fight.”

“What else...?” Jane persisted, her eyes still holding a nearly glowing reptilian gleam.

Nabiki shivered, as it felt like she was looking into the eyes of a cobra, ready to strike. “I-I told you! I make bets on his fights and sell pictures of him! That’s how he helps support the Dojo. Anything else is stuff I do, like giving out information to people.”

“I can still sense you haven’t told me everything.” Her fingers left her shoulder and then Jane roughly grabbed a breast, applying painful pressure. “Now... What other pictures of him do you sell?”

“AAAAHHHHHHH!!!” Nabiki screamed as this sadistic bitch twisted her breast. “S-STOP! IT HURTS!! IT HURTS!!!”

Jane lessened the pressure but still held firm to the mammary. “Then talk.”

“I... I sell some pictures of him in lesser states of being dressed,” Nabiki admitted, gasping for breath. “Women like to see his muscled chest.”

The Ice Queen of Furinkan High didn’t like this. This woman was too smart for Nabiki’s own good. How the hell did this slut get a feel for what the hell was going on? It wasn’t possible! Martial artists were all pig-headed idiots to be exploited and tossed aside once they were no longer profitable!

And WORSE! This one was HURTING HER! Weren’t these martial artists supposed to have a stupid honor code or something about leaving non-combatants alone, because it was un-honorable to attack someone who couldn’t defend themselves!?

Still, she was hurting her. And it made Nabiki nearly piss her panties again from how Jane looked down at her. “So...I can assume you sell pictures of his cursed form in lesser dressed states too, possibly to the males?” The purple-clad woman asked in a hard tone of voice.

Nabiki’s eyes widened and she looked at Jane fearfully. The Ice Queen HATED feeling such emotion, but she couldn’t help but let it show freely on her face.

And for Jane, that was enough of an answer. “I see...” The woman in clothing barely there smiled sweetly. “So does my husband get a cut of your gain?” And then her smile faded as fast as it appeared, her eyebrow furrowing in anger. “Or do you cut him out!?”

“He and his father are the ones who freeload otherwise!” Nabiki said seriously. “Not to mention when the old pervert is around freeloading just as badly! Their share goes to supporting the Dojo!”

“Hmm... I see...” Jane said slowly. “But tell me, do you use those photos to have my husband... Do your dirty work?”

Nabiki shook her head. “No! I wouldn’t blackmail him!” She said honestly. After all, she pretty much got her money from him anyway. “I just use them to sell and make some money for the Dojo and keep us out of the red and in the black.”

“Hmm...” Jane let go of her breast, and pulled Nabiki closer. “So then, if that’s the case... Why doesn’t your father help with the bills?”

“He’s been broken up since mother’s death,” Nabiki answered, relaxing a little now that she wasn’t under immediate duress. “He can’t bring himself to teach anymore, he’s just a nervous wreck, a shell of what he used to be...”

Jane snorted in disgust at the pathetic nature of most humans. “He’s worthless if he can’t provide for his family... So now why are Ranma’s father and him so adamant on this engagement to your sister?”

“Because Akane is a complete failure at the art,” Nabiki said, not mincing words and just bad-mouthing her sister. “Neither Kasumi nor I practice the art, Dad is completely out of shape and he only taught Akane the basics. The only two who still have any real feel for the style are Ranma who practices religiously and that worthless fat fool Genma. The Dojo is the dowry for Ranma’s marriage to Akane. He can take it over and teach there, bringing it back to full use.”

Jane frowned as the situation started to make sense to her. “So my husband is yours and Ranma’s fathers’ scapegoat.”

“Yeah,” Nabiki said with a nod of her head. “He’s basically the only one who CAN take over the Dojo and start teaching.”

True, there was Happosai, but the fewer he taught, THE BETTER!

“Well that explains a few things...” Jane snorted. She was going to make a point to bring this up to her husband, as she had the feeling he really had no clue about what was going on, or what the implications of going through human matrimony with the spoiled little bitch truly meant.

Nabiki nodded her head. “Ah-are we done?”

Leaving her thoughts for the moment, Jane grinned at the woman. “Maybe I’m debating if I need to ask anything else...” The dragon in human form then leaned her head against Nabiki’s neck and sniffed. “Mmm... The fear coming off your body is exquisite... It’s been ages since someone scared you so bad, hasn’t it?”

Nabiki's pupils narrowed to pin-points at that. What the hell!? Was this woman even HUMAN!?!?

Jane smirked as she considered things. “Hmm... You know, despite your stance concerning my husband... I like your cold-hearted attitude.”

“Wuh-what?” Nabiki asked nervously.

“You’re manipulative, smart, shrewd... I like that...” Jane said slowly. Such were rather decent traits that Draconic Races excelled in, and this girl at least had a base concept of them down pat. If her master decided he wanted to stay in this pathetic place and choose a concubine... This Nabiki could show a little promise at least.

Nabiki wasn’t sure what to say about that, so said what she was pretty sure the sadistic woman wanted to hear. “...Thank you...”

Nabiki started to shake when she saw Jane grin widely showing off her sharp teeth. “Now, Nabiki, I want to know more about...”
