Sakura sat down on her bed and looked at the cat. "What's the big change?"
Luna tried to think of something, when Sakura got back up and shook her head.
"I'm going back to practicing," Sakura said, as she went into a kata
As she delivered a very fast punch into the air, a gust of wind slammed into the wall and left a dent. Sakura stared at the dent and looked at her fist.
"I wasn't putting ki into my attacks. What's going on?"
Luna sat up and looked at Sakura. "You are still in your Senshi form. It grants you greater physical abilities than normal and you have some magical abilities as well."
"It's a cheat," Sakura said. "I gained my abilities through my own efforts."
Luna shook her head. "The transformation brooch only allows you to access the powers, but they are yours and are part of you."
Sakura look disgusted. "I need to use an item to access all of my abilities? I'm going to work on that."
Luna sighed heavily. "You are not exactly what I was expecting."
Smiling, Sakura shrugged. She stopped smiling, as she heard something. She cocked her head and tried to figure out where it was coming from.
"Sakura? What is it?" Luna asked.
"I hear a girl screaming in fear, but I see nothing."
"As I said, all your physical abilities are enhanced and you gained some magic ones. This is one of them. You are hearing someone being attacked by forces of the Dark Kingdom. And,....."
Luna stopped, as she felt a rush of wind brush past her face. She stared in disbelief as Sakura jumped out her own window and did a flip to land on her feet. The Moon Cat quickly jumped out the wind and onto a tree branch to follow Sakura. The two of them wound up in front of Osaka's Jewelry. Luna was panting for breath as she caught up with Sakura.
"Not in that good of shape are you?" Sakura asked smiling.
Gasping, Luna replied, "I could keep up with you when you aren't powered up like you are now. Just so you know, currently you are Sailor Moon. People won't recognize you while you're powered."
Sakura shrugged and opened the door to the jewelry store. She saw a demonic looking woman holding a girl about Sakura's age by the throat. Lying around the jewelry store were the unconscious bodies of several women.
"What did you do to mama?!" The girl being held by the demon-woman cried out.
"Your mother is fine. I'll send her to you in death after I kill you," the demon-woman said
Sakura clenched her fists and looked at the demonic woman.
"Stop this! You have no right to do this, whoever you are!" Sailor Moon yelled.
The demon-woman turned and looked at Sailor Moon and let go of the teen-age girl.
"I am Morga of the Dark Kingdom and that gives me the right to use these insects as I see fit. Who are you?"
Sailor Moon went into a set of sentai poses. "I am the warrior of love and justice. Sailor Moon. In the name I will punish you!"
Sailor Moon wrinkled her nose. "Where did that come from? I'm really going to have to work on this."
"Sailor Moon? I have never heard of such a thing."
Sailor Moon shrugged. "Until today, neither have I. It still doesn't mean I'm not going to kick your butt."
Morga hovered above the sleeping women and held out her hands. "Awaken my slave and attack Sailor Moon."
The sleeping women stood up and it was obvious that they were in a trance. As they approached Sailor Moon, the new super-heroine jumped up.
"Sempuken!"
Sailor Moon used her whirlwind kick to get above and behind the crowd. Because Sakura wasn't aware of how much she had been enhanced, she was just as surprised as Morga when the whirlwind kick actually created a whirlwind beneath her and sent the mind-controlled women reeling. Landing, Sailor Moon breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the women were only stunned and not harmed by the sudden tornado. Luna had dashed in and was climbing a curtain.
"The tiara! You can use you tiara as a weapon. Take it off and say Moon Tiara Action," Luna called out.
Sailor Moon took off her tiara. "Moon Tiara Action!"
The tiara turned into a disc of energy and Sakura tossed it at Morga. Sakura covered her ears from the sound of the disc breaking the sound barrier.
"Don't toss it that hard!" Luna shouted.
As to Morga, she was suffering from having a sonic boom go off right next to her and being hit with a magical attack travelling more than 720 miles per hour. She quickly dissolved into a white dust that soon evaporated. The tiara came back through the hole that was blasted into the roof of the store. Sailor Moon grabbed the tiara and put it back on.
"I'm going to really need to work on this," Sakura muttered and glanced at the teen-age girl. "Are you okay?"
The girl nodded. "Yes."
"Sorry about the hole. I just started today," Sakura said.
"Better a hole in the roof than being killed by that monster," the girl said. "Thank you, Sailor Moon."
"Just doing what was right. Before I go, what's your name?"
"Naru. Naru Osaka. My mom owns this store."
"Good-bye," Sailor Moon said as she left the store. "I hope you are troubled no more."
The new Senshi picked up her cat and jumped up to the roof of an apartment complex.
"The two of us are going to have a long talk about my powers and what they did to me. I was scared that I almost killed those women in there," Sakura said. "I also want to know what is with that stupid speech I gave."
"I'm not sure about the speech. It might have been instinct."
"It's one I'm going to work on getting rid of."
"And my powers?"
"Your body has been enhanced by your inherent magic after you transformed. You're faster and stronger than you were before. Since you were so strong before the transformation, you gained abilities after the transformation you should not have. That whirlwind was not part of Sailor Moon's powers."
Sakura sighed as she jumped homewards. "I'm not going to exist like this. I'm going to try to incorporate my magic into my normal form. I should not need a transformation device to access everything I can do."
"You said that before."
"It bears repeating. I'll use the brooch for its disguise function, but I'm not going to rely on it to access my magic. I will find a way."
