Sailor Sakura: Dream [Episode 158057]

by Disruptor

Sakura dreamed.

She looked around and saw that she was walking through a magnificent palace that had moon decorations all over the place. The women were wearing dresses and the men were wearing some sort of uniform. Sakura glanced down at herself and saw she was wearing a white dress.

'This is weird. I'd ask where the Moon Princess is, but I've got the feeling it's pretty obvious,' Sakura thought.

She looked up and saw a group of women wearing a similar outfit to her Sailor Moon uniform. There were differences. Their outfits looked to be modified skating outfits and didn't have a bare mid-riff. None of the uniforms matched the color scheme of her Sailor Moon uniform. Sakura squinted, but couldn't see the faces of the women wearing the outfits. She wasn't sure if there were four or eight women standing around.

'I wonder who they are.'

As she walked through the crowd, she noticed that a few of the women that were dressed in the Sailor outfits tended to shadow her. Shaking her head, she saw a man that she couldn't make out his face. For some reason, she felt her heart beat faster. She blinked and the palace was gone. She was standing on a stone path that was built right on top of a lake. She looked at the way the path was shaped and noticed it formed a heart, with the point touching land. She glanced and saw a woman or girl standing exactly opposite of her on the heart path. Again, she could not make out the face of the person. Sakura frowned, since she could see the person was wearing a white dress like hers. The only feature she could make out was the crescent moon mark on her forehead.

"Who are you?" Sakura asked.

"Who am I? I was the Moon Princess."

"Why can't I see your face?" Sakura asked.

"Because you don't know who I am now. The same goes for the other Sailor Soldiers or Sailor Senshi."

"Your voice sounds familiar."

"It should."

A loud buzzing caused the sky to shatter and Sakura to blink. She was lying in her bed and looking at her clock. She killed the alarm on her clock and detransformed. Sitting up, she thought about the dream.

"Luna? I had a dream last night. I think I saw what the Silver Millennium was like."

Luna sat up and looked very interested. "What did you see?"

"I saw other girls dressed somewhat like me as Sailor Moon. I couldn't tell how many. Sometimes it was four or eight or some number in between. If I could have made out their faces and that of the Moon Princess, I'd be able to find them now. The voice of the Moon Princess was strangely familiar."

Luna nodded. "I see. When you slept with your powers active, it must have triggered some of your memories of back then. How do you feel?"

Sakura stretched. "I feel a bit sore. It feels about average for me after a tough Street Fight. What do I do about the dream?"

"It holds some clue as to who the Moon Princess was. You might have more later."

Sakura stood up. "Right. Just out of curiosity, do you know what the Moon Princess looked like?"

Luna grimaced. "That's one of the memories that is missing. I do know that she is supposed to be very beautiful, highly graceful, and a true lady."

Sakura laughed. "Definitely not me. I'm a girl who likes getting into street fights and really don't care for formal occasions or care about the fact that more than half the time I'm sporting a black eye. I was probably one of her bodyguards back then."

"Probably," Luna agreed.

"Well since today is a Sunday, I should practice with my new powers."

"You seem quite eager to do so," Luna said.

Sakura remained quiet for a bit. "When I fought that Youma, I felt something afterwards. I felt a sense of rightness or a purpose. I asked myself what does a martial artist fight for, after seeing Ryu fight."

"Who?"

"He's an incredibly skilled fighter. He once said he doesn't fight to win. I wondered what he fought for. I found out the reason I'm going to fight. It's to protect people. I do wonder what he fights for."

"Ryu?"

Sakura turned a framed photograph of a powerfully built man looking over his shoulder.

"That's Ryu. Quite handsome isn't he?"

"Uh yeah," Luna said sweatdropping.

"Let's get going. I need to practice," Sakura said.

Before Luna left, she took a long glance at the photograph of Ryu. 'When I look at that picture, I feel something is really wrong.'
