Fortunately for him, this was just relatively boring, and wasn't exactly the sort of thing that he really felt troubled by. Akane sat next to him, and he at least had that going for being there. And did have gym class to look forward to, so long as he just got through the dull stuff that was between him and that period. Experience simply told him that it wasn't like something was going to disturb his boredom.
In that last part, he was wrong.
The door to the classroom slammed open, and an enraged Tatewaki Kuno charged through it, looking rather like he was going to force a vein in his temple to explode. He looked wildly around the room until he saw Ranma, and then he pointed his bokuto at the pigtailed boy. "YOU!"
"Who, me?" Ranma asked.
"Yes, you... DEVIANT! Know this! I will not allow your nasty and disgusting nature corrupting the purity that is Akane Tendo!"
"Where do ya come from...."
"From the Heavens!" Kuno declared, and sliced his weapon of choice down onto Ranma's desk, cutting it in half as the boy who'd been sitting at it flipped away. "You can not run, for I have seen the truth about you! No doubt, you wish to seem honest and dignified with your stated desire for Kasumi Tendo, but you simply can not be speaking truthfully about it! Obviously, you have been using her to hide your real objectives, which are to turn Akane from being the best example of womanhood there is!"
"EH?!" went the rest of the class.
"It is really quite simple. Since a true man would only desire what is the best, he would only be able to desire Akane Tendo. But as you have stated that you wish to go against the true will of nature and the heavens, you obviously are a deviant! And the only path for such a freak is to try and corrupt those who hold true to the proper order of things!"
"Hold on a second," a brown haired boy asked. "Are you saying that you think that he's bucking nature because he likes Akane's sister better than her?"
"Exactly! You see, the common folk understand the true path that they should take! They want the best, and that means that any male worth his salt would desire Akane Tendo, just as every girl would wish to be with me!"
"So says the idiot waving around the stick," muttered a girl with a pony tail in her hair as she stood on the side of the room.
Apparently, Kuno couldn't hear her, as he puffed out his chest, and looked rather like a caricature of morality at the moment. "Since the cretin Saotome has denied the true calling of his gender, he has to be a foul deviant who is using this pretend 'feeling' for her sister to worm his way into Akane's confidences!"
"And you think that's true... why?"
"Have I not stated it clearly? Akane Tendo is the best girl in this school, and under the heavens, and since everyone wants what is best for them, they will want her. Since he clearly has informed others of his supposed choice of Kasumi Tendo over her youngest sister, he is going against what is right and true, which means that he must be a deviant. And since a deviant is bucking the correct behavior that the heavens have dictated, that person must be punished, before their planned further transgressions come to fruition."
"I had to ask."
"Of course. If you have to understand the workings of more complicated minds then your own, then you have to ask."
A girl with long brown hair sighed. "The skies must be really strange in his world, because he doesn't ever seem to want to stop...."
"That's true enough," a short haired girl muttered. "I mean, he lives in a fantasy all the time. What I don't understand is why those boys keep on attacking her on his word...."
"He might be an idiot, but he's still a strong fighter. If they want to date her, and still be able to walk, they'd have to at least pay lip service to him," a black haired boy told them.
"Great.... But it does point out that their minds don't have the twists and turns that his does...."
"And they could never hope to match what I have," Kuno pronounced, glaring at the boy that he'd come after. "Now, you must be punished for misbehaving according to the will of the heaven's, what with your transgression in claiming to desire Kasumi Tendo!"
"It ain't wrong ta want ta be with Kasumi, ya jackass," Ranma growled.
"How could that be? It must only be in your mind, as there is no way that anyone could be with her when Akane stood available. Tell me, what could make it 'right' for you to desire her?!"
Akane slammed her palms onto her desk and shot up to a standing position. "It's because she's his wife that he would have any reason to be with her, you idiot!"
One could almost hear a pin drop in the room at that pronouncement.
"You didn't know about that, did you?"
Everyone else in the room, save Ranma, shook their heads.
"Just realized that," the youngest Tendo groaned, while:
