"Uhm, hello," said the young man, rubbing the back of his head.
"Well, your problems don't seem so bad," said the moustached father of the girls. "These are my three daughters. This is Urd - she's nineteen. Belldandy - she's seventeen. And then there's Skuld. She's twelve. Pick any one you like, she'll be your new fiancee."
"Fiancee?!" exclaimed Keiichi. "W-w-w-w-what?"
"I don't think he could keep up," said Urd, studying her nails. "Kinda cute, but kind of short."
"I'm twelve, Daddy," said Skuld. "What do you think you're doing?!"
"Oh dear, oh my," said Belldandy, realizing what this meant. She seemed to study the tea in her teacup.
The Senshi of the Present blocked the energy beam, her arms crossed in front of her. "No, evil cannot prevail. I won't let you."
"WE won't let you," gently corrected the Senshi Of The Past, tugging a ripped sleeve back into place.
"That's right," said the Senshi of The Future, favoring an injured leg as she brought her rocket launcher up to one shoulder.
Dark General Senbei sneered. "Bring it, you pathetic sailor girls, on."
chunk-chunk-chunk-chunk-chunk-chunk-chunk-FWOOOSHHHHHHHH!
"Why are we wearing 'ghost busters' outfits?" asked Colonel Urd.
"I made these proton packs and particle accelerators yesterday," said Captain Skuld.
"I brought lunch," said Belldandy, shifting her backpack and smiling.
"You HAVE tested these, right Skuld?" asked Specialist Morisato, stepping towards the Stargate.
"Details, details," said Skuld, waving the unimportant bits off.
(mournful jazz music plays)
Belldandy opened the door. "Keiichi!"
"Bell, always a pleasure," said Keiichi, tucking his hat under one arm.
"Come in," said Belldandy, gesturing him inside. "Are you here officially?"
"As head of Chicago SI? I'm afraid so," confessed Keiichi as he entered.
"I'm sorry to hear that," said Belldandy. "It seems that we rarely have time to speak anymore. There's always something like the battle between Faerie Courts, or an evil sorceror, or perhaps Dark Angels trying to fix sports events."
"I was kinda surprised to find out there was a curse laid on the Cubs," confessed Keiichi. "So, is Urd in?"
"She's researching at the moment," said Belldandy. "She'll probably be up shortly though."
Keiichi nodded. With three daughters of the Fey Courts, one of whom operated as a wizard, the second being his nominal girlfriend, and the third being a specialist in making things go boom - life had gotten very interesting for Special Investigations of late.
Three goddesses looked at each other, then looked towards the viewer.
The middle one spoke up. "Sailor Pluto? You really shouldn't be-"
Keichi Morisato stepped back in alarm. "You're -"
The little six-inch Belldandy smiled up at him. "A cyberdoll, a product of the Cyberdyne Corporation."
"How many road must a man walk down, before you can call him a man?" asked Keiichi, adjusting the swords stuck in his belt. "How many timelines must this Pluto tweak, before she is satisfied?"
Urd looked at her kimono and shrugged. "The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind. The answer is blowing in the wind."
"So we're in Ruroni Kenshin now?" asked Skuld, frowning. "Couldn't we be in Sakura Wars or something with mecha at least?"
"Maybe next time," counseled Belldandy.
"I kind of liked the one where I was a wizard, especially this scene," said Urd, holding out a remote control similar to the one Pluto was using.
Urd's hair was slicked back by the rain, but she looked down at the ghoul from her mount and GRINNED. "Her name is SUE! How do you do? You GONNA DIE!"
chomp
"Bad guy disposal made easy," said Skuld, approvingly.
"I don't know," said Keiichi from nearby, gun drawn. "How many people are going to get a Johnny Cash reference nowadays?"
"We have to hurry," said Belldandy, sitting atop her broom, little umbrella valiantly holding off the rain. "They've already started the spell."
Sailor Pluto shook her head, getting the feeling that things might just be edging out of control.
