Akane managed to pick up on it. "You expected that?"
"Pretty much. We need to have the time to prepare and make sure that Dad and Mister Saotome don't have plans of their own, or want help us with ours...."
"Only there's more of a chance of us having no time to even talk."
"Exactly." "But we can't ignore them...." Kasumi murmured. "It just wouldn't be proper."
"We wouldn't do /that/," the youngest of the sisters responded.
"Oh, good. I didn't think that we would, of course...."
The middle Tendo daughter shook her head. "And we never thought that of you."
"I'm glad. Still, what makes you think that they have come already?"
"I do believe that I heard arguing just a moment ago, and...."
"Tendo, I'm here with Ranma!" bellowed out a voice that obviously didn't recognize the importance of dignity in the neighborhood.
Their own father's voice answered in tones of... glee. "SAOTOME! Brother!"
"I believe that would be your answer, sis," Nabiki murmured.
Kasumi put her fingers to lips in a gesture of embarrassment. "Oh my...."
"I'm just glad that Ranma isn't that loud and obnoxious," Akane muttered, happy that not all guys were so problematic.
Keiichi blinked at the sounds of nervous murmurings coming from Skuld's room as he walked through the house, and turned to the literal goddess of his dreams. "Umm.... What is going on?"
"You've come home to a wonderful surprise, Keiichi," Belldandy replied brightly. "We got a call today that told us that Ranma is going to be coming back."
"He is? Wow. No wonder why she is acting that way."
"She does love him, and wants to be sure that she gets everything right."
"Ah. I know how she feels, believe me."
"I will always believe you...."
"I know," he said, blushing deeply, and took a moment to just enjoy the trust that she had in him. "Still...."
"Is there a problem?"
"To be honest, I'm not sure that it's a problem...."
The middle Norn frowned thoughtfully at her beloved. "What is it then?"
"Well, it's everyone else."
"Won't they be happy to have him back?"
"Sure. I'm just not sure how easy they will take it. Tamiya and Ootaki will probably want to throw a party, and spend a lot of time telling Ranma why he should go to Nekomi, and join the club. Chihiro always seems to get him to work for her, and Megumi.... She'll be teasing them. Just you wait."
"She's just having fun, and no one will be hurt by it. Though...."
"What?"
"Perhaps we could help her with her dating too," she suggested. "I mean, it would be so nice to see her happy with someone, wouldn't it?"
"I'm not sure if I'm ready for that...."
"Then it's not a good idea."
"It could be great. We'll just have to see what happens," Keiichi allowed.
"Just like with Urd."
"'Urd'?"
"I was thinking that since I have you, and Skuld has Ranma, she could use someone too."
"So, you want to see if we can find someone each for my sister and yours."
"And perhaps help them if they find someone to love on their own."
Tapping his chin, he got a look of deep concentration in his eyes. "I'm not sure if any of the people that I know would be their types."
"Then it might be a problem to find one."
"It could be, but then again, perhaps Ranma will know of someone."
"Wouldn't that be nice?" Belldandy asked cheerfully, giving him a pleased smile.
"It could definitely be so."
"But even if we don't do that sort of thing, we do have work to do. Akane said that she and her sisters would come with him."
"Huh?"
"It seems that Ranma's father engaged him to one of the daughters of an old friend of his, who turned out to be Akane and her sisters. Since they know all of us already, they decided to help get him back to Skuld," she told him.
"That's nice of them."
"Isn't it?"
"Well then, if you need anything, just let me know."
"Keiichi?"
He gave her a shrug. "Ranma's a good guy, and I like having him around. With him just being around, it'd be nice, but with his and Skuld's marriage? If I can help make it a good reunion, I don't see why I shouldn't."
"You're so kind, Keiichi!"
"I'm not sure that I'd be going so far...."
"You are a wonderful person. And I'd love for you to help."
"Then, let me do it," he agreed, and let her lead him to where he might be of assistance, while:
