Chaotic Legacy: Finding a Legacy [Episode 161157]

by Kalad Galadorian

"This is the place?" X asked while looking up at the massive, almost ornate double doors that the mining team had uncovered. It almost looked like a tomb.

"Yeah, it was found it just a couple days ago, and the writing was examined, not much was still legible, but one bit was translatable, 'Here lies the child of chaos', rather forboding, that's why you were called in." Replied Alia over the remote comm system.

"Eh, it can't be that big a problem for US." stated Zero, who strode up, and pushed on the doors, which swung open silently. X hurriedly went after him, both of them entering.

Inside, it was barren, sterile, merely one long metal corridor leading to the end, with another set of doors. The whole place seemed oddly creepy, almost lonely. Arriving at the second set of doors, Zero pushed them open also, and audibly gasped.

"What the!?" he exclaimed, looking into the room before him.

There, hanging from a pillar by numerous chains and wires was a feminine form. Flowing red hair obscured its face, and there was extensive damage obvious all over her form. At the base of the pillar was inscribed, "Here Lies Lina Inverse"

X glanced at Zero who nodded, proceeding to cut away the chains, while X contacted Alia, "Alia, we'll be coming back soon, we found something, have Lifesaver on standby."

"Roger. Who's hurt?"

"Someone called Lina Inverse. The people who put her here must have thought she was dead, but it looks like she's been running at the barest minimum for a long time." He answered as he and Zero began exiting the tunnel.
