When a boy she had classified as "cute" had entered her life, one of those who had appointed herself a guardian had apparently disrupted time and space and caused the sun to go nova in an attempt to separate the two of them.
No, life had not been kind to Hotaru.
When she'd landed here in this odd place, the impact had stunned her and she'd been slow to get up and determine that she had changed yet again.
When she had fallen and hit the bare rock of this place, it had been as Sailor Saturn. When she'd gotten up, it was as Hotaru but the comforting weight of the Silence Glaive was still in her hand. Or was it?
Looking it over in more detail, she determined quickly enough that the Glaive had transformed as had her clothes. The Glaive was now more of a naginata in shape. Her clothes, on the other hand, were something spidery-looking.
"What the heck is it now, more living come to bother me? Geez, you living should GET A LIFE!" declared some guy with flame hair and pointy teeth, sticking his head out of a doorway carved in the rock.
"Pardon me, sir," said Hotaru, "but I seem to be lost."
"You're in the Underworld, little girl," said the flamehaired individual. "My name is Hades, and I am having quite enough of a bad day. So take your girl scout cookies and GO HOME!"
sniffle
"Oh, great, no no no. Don't start with the waterworks," said Hades, looking particularly disgusted. "Come on, this is the Land Of The Damned, the Afterlife, we got enough grief. Tell ya what, I'll take three boxes of Thin Mints. Just GO, will ya?!"
Hotaru looked in the direction that Hades pointed and wiped her eyes. "Thank you, Mister Hades sir, I'll be going now."
Hades shook his head as the little girl scampered off. "Yeesh. Bet she'll forget my Thin Mints too."
"Wuff."
Hades looked over at Cerebrus and shrugged. "HEY, LITTLE GIRL. ADD THREE BOXES OF SCANDANAVIANS FOR MY FRIEND HERE! Yeesh. One interruption after another. Never get things done around here."
"Grf?"
"Yeah, I noticed she was a valkyrie. Or a spawn. One reason I wanted her OUTTA here. Got enough troubles without those Norse types barging in, you know."
