After Sailor Magic had left, the sheriff of the town of Prote reported to the mayor what had happened.
"This Sailor Magic just showed up out of nowhere and killed the Mazoku and left?" The mayor asked.
The sheriff nodded. "Yes, and she did it without taking any reward."
The mayor tapped a quill on a piece of parchment thoughtfully. He started writing on the parchment and then looked back up at the sheriff.
"What did this Sailor Magic look like?" The mayor asked.
The sheriff blushed. "I couldn't really make out the details of her face, due to how fast she was moving. What I could tell was that she was beautiful and had long red hair."
The mayor shook his head and finished writing on the parchment. He breathed on it gently to get the ink to dry a bit faster. Nodding to himself, the mayor rolled up the scroll and handed it to the sheriff.
"Take this to that young minstrel. I think his name is Valnir. He's wanted a subject to write a song about. Have him compose the best song that he can by the end of the week. Next year, we'll have the party on this day. But for now, we'll have it at the end of the week."
"Party?"
The mayor nodded. "Yes, a party to celebrate our freedom from Mazoku tyranny and the appearance of the heroine Sailor Magic. By next year, the focus will be more on Sailor Magic."
"Sir?" The sheriff asked confused.
"We've need something to bring in tourists, since we are a bit hurting in incoming money," the mayor said. "I have the feeling Sailor Magic will be quite big by next year."
"Oh."
The sheriff took the scroll to Valnir, who promptly set about writing the best song he could about the heroine Sailor Magic. It was a catchy song that would soon sweep the surrounding area like a wildfire. The festival at Prote was a celebration of freedom and life. The tailors of Prote made outfits that were similar to what Sailor Magic was described as wearing and the young women wore them at the festival as part of the celebration. Other minstrels carried the news of the celebration to towns to try to bring business to Prote next year.

As Lina walked along a road running through a wasteland, she felt a shudder go through her and she looked back where she killed Blarvex. She shook her head and continued on.
'Must be my imagination. I thought something was...'
Pushing that thought aside, Lina thought about her problem
'If I take this problem to Luna, she'd laugh at me and tease me about it. She called my mage's robes only fit for a prostitute or cabaret dancer,' Lina thought. 'I have no wish to know what she would call my Sailor Magic outfit.'
Lina stopped and concentrated. Her instruction manual soon appeared in her hands. She flipped it open and started reading. She sent the book back and called for the transformation wand. After her transformation, Sailor Magic pointed to an empty area and started chanting a spell.
"Blast Bomb!"
Multiple balls of energy shot from her finger and exploded, leaving a crystallized section of ground behind. Sailor Magic transformed back into Lina and tried the spell again. Lina managed to feel the power form and then fizzle out. Lina idly noted that her transformation wand had vanished into subspace again.
'Right. I have to grow into my powers. The transformation acts as a huge boost to my magical capacity, but I have the feeling there is more to being tied to the world's magic than just that,' Lina thought with a frown on her face.
Lina pointed to the sky and shouted, "There's food to eat and bandit's to slay and Lina Inverse intends to do both!"
Lina started running forward and left all thoughts of Sailor Magic behind for the time being.

A couple weeks after the festival in Prote, Lina woke up under a tree. She was still trying to banish a world full of Nagas out of her mind from the adventure with the spoiled rich girl and those two tailors. She felt a tug inside her being pulling her towards the coastline. Shrugging, she followed her instincts and walked on. She ignored the outraged cries of pain when some shmuck stuck his leg out in front of her and she stepped on it. After his two brothers caught up with her and then the phony acting brother did, she confirmed they were bandits and blew them into the sky with Dil Brando. As the trio flew up, a bag of coins fell down and Lina caught it in her hand.
"Lucky!"
Lina proceeded down to the coast and thought about eating at the stand set up between the beach and the harbor, but the pull on her being was insistent. Frowning, Lina shrugged and headed towards the harbor.
'Maybe I can buy a ticket to Mipross with this money.'
Lina saw the three thugs she blew up stand in her way.
The leader of the trio said, "Did you forget us, Missy? Well, this time we brought someone to help out and you won't catch us off guard."
Lina groaned when she heard the laughter and saw Naga.
"When they said it was a short, homely, small breasted girl with no respect, I knew it had to be you," Naga said, as she prepared a spell.
Lina got more and more mad, as Naga described her.
"Fireball," Lina said, as she cast a weak fireball at Naga.
Kneeling down beside Naga, Lina asked, "Don't you ever learn?"
"That was mean," Naga whimpered.
"Hey. You're the one working with bandits," Lina objected.
"Bandits? Really?" Naga said, as she sat up none the worse for being fireballed.
"Take a look at them," Lina said, as she pointed to the nervously sweating trio.
"I always heard it was best not to judge a book by its cover," Naga replied.
"I can't fault you for that," Lina said. "But at any rate, these guys are bad."
Naga stood up. "Then I shall help you vanquish these evil doers."
Lina and Naga proceeded to do so, over the objections of the bandit trio. Lina and Naga tied the three up and rooted through their possessions.
The bandit trio asked, "Miss? Who are you?"
"Me? I'm Lina Inverse."
"Not the Robber Killer Lina Inverse?" the largest of the trio said.
"The Dra-mata Lina Inverse?" the bandit leader asked in horror.
Lina pointed at the bandit leader, Lina said, "I don't mind being called Robber Killer, but what is with Dra-mata?"
The bandit leader said, "That even dragons run in terror at the site of you."
Lina dropped her elbow down hard upon the bandit leader's head. Naga found two slips of paper and grabbed Lina.
"We don't have time for this! Come on, Lina! We're running out of time?" Naga said, as she dragged Lina away.
"Naga? What are you talking about?" Lina yelled, as she was carried along.
The three bandits breathed a sigh of relief that Lina Inverse had left and praised the powers that be that they were still alive.
