Macross Senshi: Putting a horse down [Episode 163016]

by Kestral

Valkyries engaged in aerial combat with various alien spacecraft in the sky. After some heavy initial losses, including a good half of the Black Knights, the Valkyrie pilots began reversing that trend and taking out their share and then some of the forces attacking them.

Lumbering out into the city, Destroids were unleashing their own contribution. Many of the Jaffa would fire their staff weapons at the lumbering giants only to find that really big guns could take out a squad of tightly packed targets very easily. The Jaffa scattered and began firing from concealment, which worked much better.

One of the problems of the Destroids and Valkyries were that neither war machine was intended for use against human sized enemies. One of the problems of the Jaffa was that they might have been capable warriors, but their weapons weren't really that good at penetrating the armor of the destroids. Or at least most of their weapons weren't.

Ranma, on the other hand, was finding that his punches and kicks were quite effective against Jaffa but several of the Jaffa were sufficiently good as to keep him from being as devastating as he'd expected to be.

It didn't keep him from whittling their numbers down, but for every one he flattened - two more seemed to pop up out of nowhere and join the fray.

ping ping chiuuuuuuuu

At some point someone ducked away, leaving Ranma to look at a serpent-shaped gun before it suddenly discharged and the world turned black.
