But he knew that this was only a small bit of the whole situation that was going on at the moment. It was bigger than he was, and he was aware of just how difficult this could be for him. Heck, just continuing to survive was going to be a challenge all by itself. And that brought up another thing that he was going to have to handle.
He was hungry, and so he was going to have to eat. After all, there hadn't been a Kasumi around to cook breakfast, which meant that he hadn't had the usual big breakfast, and never would again.
Shaking himself as he recognized the direction of his thoughts, he turned his attention to the matter of his own continued ability to live. Food was going to be important, and that was going to be abundant for now. With no shopkeepers, he was going to be able to take all the food that he needed.
Forcing himself to ignore the issues that brought up in him, he raised his eyes from the ground to the store in front of him... which was when he saw her, or at least her reflection in the store window. From what he'd gotten from his contact with that one particular set of goo, he recognized the light blue hair framing the pretty face, both of which would be quite interesting on their own. But she had the strangest pair of red eyes, and he found himself staring into them for a long moment. However, his eyes slowly moved to look at the important part of her presence.
One small, pale hand was resting on one of the shoulders of his reflection.
As his panic rose up high enough to threaten to choke him, Ranma stumbled to his feet and whirled around to face the girl, which led to her:
