Heian Era: Pluto's Observations [Episode 163175]

Setsuna looked on the little fishing village with its primitive lifestyle and could place it. She'd seen it all before, and only required a few moments to analyze details.

This represented the Heian Era. Roughly 1000 AD, as the West considered it.

An Era where most of those modern Japanese alive considered it the pinnacle of Japanese culture. Yet it was an Era where those who didn't romanticize it knew it as one where robbers exhibited far more control of the island than those legal authorities. Govermental authority had collapsed to the point where currency was no longer used, barter had taken over for the most part. The Fujiwara government had only enough police force for the 'Yokibito' or aristocracy of the times. If you were not of that priviledged class, you spent much of your life being afraid. Superstitions to the side, it was your fellow humans that were the monsters lurking in the dark.

There were farms and fairly primitive homes, those didn't provide quite the clue as little other details that could be found - such as a shrine inside the town having a few innovations in design that were slightly ahead of the level of the common housing.

Which meant that the Senshi and everyone else that had been time-displaced were now in another universe, and that they were in a Japan of over nine hundred years previous.

Sailor Pluto knew a bit of multiversal lore. Universes split off from each other and recombined all the time, though usually it was less dramatic than what had happened on that island. As she watched, she noted a further detail:
