Now, young lady, make a wish.
She wanted her loved ones back, together, like they should be.
She wanted the World to be like what it had before.
And she wanted...she wanted...
To tell her younger self, show her younger self, everything she'd done well, and all the mistakes she'd made...
Or was that it, really?
The end result of that Wish was something very close to what had happened in a closely related timeline, just with slightly more energy to spare.
Even with yet another energy-arrow flying...back and back and back. And back.
A slightly bigger Crystal City, and more people and living things in stasis. The eco-system might be rebootable in mere centuries, if they were lucky.
Not that she had any basis to compare the end results with. She didn't think of peeking into different timelines - not at this point in time, anyway.
Not yet.
Girl Who Would Be Queen awoke in a City of glowing Crystal, her to-be husband at her left, her friends scattered across the room. Artemis and Luna were a ummoving kitty-huddle, those they still breathed.
The Silver Crystal had been pretty much maxed out, for lack of a better word, it seemed, though it still wasn't quite all empty. The Golden Crystal was in scracely better shape.
They could and would gather energy again, of course, but it would take a very long time.
...And there was an Enemy out there. More then one, probably. She felt it in the wind.
She held on to her husband-to-be then, and cried.
Tsukino Usagi started in her sleep, like she'd been shot. And rolled over. And opened her eyes.
She was fourteen years old. She held on to her covers, and wept.
