Slayers! FF6: The Final Slayer [Episode 165314]

by Jryu

"Do you think Mr. Sabi... I mean, that they all will be all right?" Amelia asked as she looked toward the mountains.

Gwen, wife of the Blitz Master Duncan, smiled at the younger girls slip as she stroked the fur of her cat (a grey, long hair cat that Amelia, personally, thought was eerily quiet for a house pet.) "Of course, dear. Those boys know how to take care of themselves, and this isn't the first time any of them have gone off on such a trip. Now... I seem to recall that Duncan had some exercises for you to do..."

Amelia grimaced, she didn't like to think of her father's pacifistic ways as a "Martial Art," but Mr. Duncan was remarkably blunt in his assessment. "Call it what you will," he said, "but whatever philosophy you follow, those are skills you use to keep yourself alive and make sure those that attack you, stop. That, is a martial art. And no one who stays under my roof will have such a poorly refined technique. Better to not practice at all, than to do so, badly."

And so, Amelia found herself training, at least for the time being, under Mr. Duncan. Training that made her long for the simple, easy nature of Miss Lina's "Dragon Slave Training."

Still, it wasn't a bad place to be while she decided on her next move. And it did have some perks... perks with chiseled muscles, brilliant blue eyes, and one heck of a butt...

Amelia blushed as she realized what she was thinking, and Gwen laughed softly to herself as she also figured out what caused the younger girl to flush. It was rather obvious that she had a crush on the runaway prince. It was a rather hopeless crush, but Gwen thought it was cute, anyway.

It was rather inevitable after their first meeting...

Amelia didn't know where she was, where her friends were, or why she couldn't use magic all of a sudden. She did know she didn't like any of the previous points.

She also knew she was being attacked. By men in purple jumpsuits and leather hats. She didn't like that, either.

Still, she was her father's daughter, which meant she was in no ways helpless.

"Hands of Friendship!" Amelia called as she slapped one of her attackers silly. It wasn't up to the speed of her father's version, but it was still a powerful action, one that was sure to leave her attacker reexamining his life as he waited for his jaw to heal.

Stumbling out of the way of a small, thrown metal club of some kind, she struck her attacker, calling out, "Harmless Person's Kick!" The man was thrown back by the force of the blow, and maybe his broken ribs and shattered limbs would attest to the folly of a life of crime.

A third stepped out from around the trees they were fighting in, rushing to attack her. Amelia met that charge with her own, "Justice Shoulder Attack," throwing the man into the tree he had just been hiding behind. Perhaps the concussion he suffered would shake lose the evil in his heart.

A final opponent waited for her move, and Amelia was more than happy to oblige. "Pacifist Crush!" she called, as she dived toward her opponent.

Unfortunately, Amelia forgot two things.

First, while devastating when used by Phil, who has been politely described as being as large as two bears sown together, the Pacifist Crush was pretty much useless to someone little more than one quarter his size. As evident when her target did not fall, but instead simply caught her.

Second... fighting in a forest on a mountain can have dire consequences, as the man demonstrated, by throwing Amelia away... and right off a cliff!

Amelia had experienced free fall before, but never when she didn't have Levitation or Ray-Wing available. So she did the only thing she could.

"AAAAAIIIIIIEEEEE!!" she screamed as she fell, wondering if this, perhaps, was the end...

Suddenly, arms where around her, and she stopped falling with a small "oof!"

"Whoa! I gotcha!" Amelia turned to look at her rescuer, and saw the most brilliant blue eyes she'd ever seen.

And that was how Amelia wil Tesla Saillune met Sabin Rene Figaro.

Chuckling to herself, Gwen watched over Amelia as she began her exercises. Amelia was just the latest in a long line of young women who wanted to catch the eyes... and other parts... of Sabin. She reached for her cup to sip some tea, when the handle broke off in her hand.

She stared at the broken handle as a chill went down her spine, before she pushed the ideas away.

And her cat just looked at the ill omen for a moment, before stretching and leaping off her owner's lap.
