Besides, it would get her away from the fathers' stupidity, and the pervertedness that some of the pets had.
So, she stomped back up the stairs, and headed straight for her room. She was set on this course, and wasn't about to let herself stop for anything. That meant that her door was slammed open, her drawers were yanked to let her get to her clothing, and the only reason that there wasn't a loud 'bang' from the backpack that she went camping with was that it smacked onto the bed. Her anger gave her enough of a focus to move quickly in packing her bag. But she didn't need much if she was just going to be by herself in the mountains, so she was done rather quickly.
Then the only thing was that was needed was for her to grab something to eat, and head on straight out of the house with the intent of finding someplace where she could get some peace, quiet, and practice in.
All that stood between her and that was a single sister.
"You sure that you want to do this, little sister?" Nabiki asked, leaning on a wall as Akane shoved her feet into shoes.
The younger Tendo gave off a violent snort. "Of course I am."
"Do you realize just how impetuous you are being as well, little sister?"
"I am not rushing anything! I am going to be leaving!"
"That's clearly the case."
"But I'm coming back. I don't know when, but I'll be back. So, no funny business, understand?"
"Would I do something like that?" the elder girl asked.
"Yes," Akane replied, and turned on her heel as she stormed off out the door.
Ranma waited for a long while after he'd heard the front door slam shut before he headed back down. There was no way that he was going to be risking being included in a bashing when he wasn't the one who was already being bashed. Sure, he was fine when other guys were getting pounded down, but he wasn't about to bring unwanted attention to him.
That was why he got to see the results of Akane's handiwork, as her father was currently flat on the floor, while his father was seated next to a hole in the wall.
"Boy! You're just in time!" Genma called out.
The pigtailed boy smirked. "Only if ya think that 'time' is when ya have already been beaten up enough ta make hittin' ya not worth it."
"You're supposed to treat me with respect! And that means listening to me!"
"Well, one outta two ain't bad. Though, I can't help but hear ya talk, since you're so loud."
"You're listening to me? Since... that is what you are suppose to do, understand this," his father insisted. "You have to go after Akane!"
"And why would that be?"
"Because it's your duty as her fiance!"
"Some promise that ya made doesn't make me her babysitter," Ranma scoffed.
"No, but you are responsible for her, boy!"
"How d'ya figure that?!"
"If you would just settle things down with her and your pets, she'd be home safe, and happy!"
"I'd say that she's happy ta be outta here."
Genma glared malevolently at his son. "Don't you realize just how dangerous it is for a single young girl out there?"
"This is Akane that we're talkin' 'bout. Knowin' her, she'll have any jerks wishin' that they'd worn paddin', and brought lots of pain medication."
"Don't you understand?! What if it's more than the normal sort of 'jerks'? You do remember that there are terribly nasty folks out there, don't you?"
"Please.... I don't want to think of my little girl freezing in the night," Soun murmured as he lifted his head just enough to let him look at Ranma's face. "And there are so many dangers that one girl alone would have to face without any help, or support...."
"Then there are all the fools who would want to get to you, through her!"
"And we know just how troublesome camping can be for her."
"Where could she go? What could she do?" the Saotome patriarch asked.
"She's only had to leave because she's angry, and you know how dangerous the world can be for someone who is too mad to pay attention!"
"And who's fault is that?" Ranma muttered.
"You have to find her! You have no choice!" both fathers declared in ear splitting shouts, looming over the teenaged boy. "You can't choose to abandon her!"
"I've got it. I've got it. I'll go see if I can catch up to her."
"That's a good boy," Soun calmly stated.
"I am not a dog."
"That might be so, but the important part is that you're doing the right thing."
"Tendo is right, boy! This is the only proper course!" Genma insisted.
"Though.... I hope that she can survive until he gets there! I'm not sure if she took enough food with her!"
"See, another reason for you to go, boy. Now, get ready and head out!"
The only show of protest that Ranma gave was in a heavy sigh, mainly because he knew that the two old men would not let up until he left. What he'd wanted to do was to go see what was up at the Gates Of Time, as he had concerns about what Setsuna might be up to. Hopefully, he might be able to pop in after leaving the house. As it was, he knew that he wouldn't be able to convince either man, currently crying or not, to just let Akane be.
Though, this would at least let him drop off some food with her, so that she didn't starve to death.
First, Akane left in a fit of anger to get away from the two fathers.
Then Ranma found himself being badgered into following her, and left to get away from the two fathers.
And so it was only natural that the pets followed, but they did so in two distinct groups. They might have gone in one big bunch, but neither of the groups knew about the other. In fact, they went without even really consulting the anyone in the house. For them, notes were going to suffice.
Rei, Makoto, Usagi and Hotaru went mainly because they were concerned about both their Master and his fiancee. To them, Akane was a girl that they wanted to continue having around, and was someone that they cared about. They just wanted to make her safe.
Haruka and Michiru liked the idea of being with their Master. They enjoyed the concept of being with Akane. The possibility of Akane being with their Master was something that they looking forward to. Being there with their Master and Akane at the same time was a very pleasant future goal. All of it had such delicious opportunities... and they did like both teens in non-carnal ways as well.
Ami planned on staying behind because someone had to watch the house, and the two fathers did need some first aid care. Plus, Minako was still trying to figure out which group she should join, as she was the only one who knew that there were a pair of pet search groups.
Upon seeing the departure of Usagi's group, Shampoo blinked and wondered just what was happening. It didn't seem like the pets were being kicked out, but it was also clear that they were intent on leaving for some reason. That meant that something was up then, so she leapt on to the top of the Tendo property wall, planning on crashing in for some answers.
Fortunately for the Tendo family budget, there was someone there that noticed her. "Oh my! Come by for a visit, Shampoo-chan?"
"Was nearby, and saw need to 'stop by'," Shampoo told Kasumi. "Shampoo see pets leave house. Is problem?"
"Not with them. You see, there was some loud exchanges earlier."
"And that make them have to go?"
"According to the note, they wanted to go after Ranma."
"Why they have to go after airen?" the Amazon asked.
"Because he had to go after Akane. Our fathers made him do so."
"Why she have to leave."
The elder girl sighed. "I'm afraid that she wanted to leave. Father and Mister Saotome were trying to get Haruka and Michiru to help her with her... desires...."
"She into girls?"
"No! It's just that they wanted to 'loosen her up', I think they said."
"Shampoo understand. Thank for the telling."
"You're welcome," Kasumi responded with a bright smile.
"Bai bai...."
"Goodbye...."
Nodding to confirm that she'd heard the other girl's response, Shampoo bounded out of the Tendos' yard and started rushing for the Nekohanten. She could have headed straight after Ranma and his pets, but she wanted to get her own pack first. This could take a while, and she didn't want to have to stop and pick up supplies when she was supposed to be tracking all those individuals.
Of course, this meant that there were now four attempts to follow in Akane's path going on, while:
