On the inside, Ranma wouldn’t notice many changes.
Small amounts of damage that had been caused by periods of excess starvation—Genma really wanted those hot dogs and assorted foods the monks had ... “donated” ... to the journey—were repaired. As a result of the technology, Ranma’s body was regenerated to remove the evidence any such problems had existed.
As a result, if he could open his eyes at the moment without soul-crushing pain, he would have noticed he had gained a few centimeters in height, now slightly taller than Tatewaki Kuno.
His girl form ... if he had water and some desire to see it, as well as not having the blinding headache, would have also shown several centimeters growth in height.
Mental scarring was another issue. When the Shepards had scanned his mind, they had found the Nekoken.
They were not amused. Even on their planet and many others, such a treatment of a child was beyond consideration. They had even spent time accessing data networks—some of which were thought to be secure—to discover the true Nekoken was nothing like that. The one listed in Genma’s book was only a partial—and very small partial—translation of some scrolls of the technique found in Ancient Egypt. To understand, you would view what Genma’s book showed as Page 7. The book fully describing the technique; in all forms and procedures, would be around one hundred pages.
So, they integrated the cat persona as best as they could, relying on Ranma’s own knowledge of his body for the process to work.
So he now had control of the Nekoken.
The downside was that this reeked havoc with his emotional center. For now, his emotions would run wild, more so than before, and to greater extremes than Akane on her period.
But the Nekoken was only part of the problem with his headache. The real reason was because of one of the Shepards getting ahead of themselves, and downloading a lot of knowledge into his brain.
So we now have a highly intelligent, emotionally disturbed, incredibly powerful person who is to be put in charge of the planet Earth, and act as liaison between the Shepards and humanity.
Rooooooaaaaaaaaarrrrrrr!
But his stomach was still in charge, no matter what that damned Brain thought. It had defeated Libido, it could take the smarty-pants.
Nabiki slowly came to. “Are we dead yet?” she asked.
Cologne sighed. “Not yet. Something about son-in-law seemed to have caught their attention. They just announced that he has been repaired from the damage his “caregivers” imbued him with,” she spat, looking at Genma, who was currently tied up by Soun and Happosai, who hoped that by giving him up, they might be allowed to live.
“So Ranma’s in charge?” asked Nabiki. “Does anyone else see a problem with this idea? That’s like putting Ryoga in charge of an expedition, or Mousse in a bomber.”
“We can hope they did better with their work with him than those Senshi.”
Nabiki sat up quickly, nearly falling back over from vertigo from having done it so quickly. “Senshi?”
Cologne nodded. “It appears their intelligence had been severely overstated. They were captured by the Shepards after the Senshi decided that the livestock aboard the ship was the real target.”
Nabiki sighed. “I thought heroes were supposed to be smarter than a toaster.”
Cologne shrugged. “Live and learn.”
“So what happens now?” she asked, rubbing her head.
“Well, if what they said was true, then son-in-law is now in charge of the planet. I figure they may want words with his parents, assuming a mob doesn’t form up first. That is also assuming your sisters can prevent Nodoka Saotome from killing herself for “failing to protect her itty-bitty boy” from harm.”
“So we’re all good as dead; either by a mob’s hand or Ranma’s if they smartened him up enough to realize what he should have done to us.”
“Oh; most definitely.”
“Well, guess I can always hope for a sex-slave position,” said Nabiki.
