All he knew was that if someone was playing around with things that were really hardly understood, it wasn't exactly the safest thing to handle. If nothing else, it was dangerous, and he was aware of the fact that one mistake could cause terrible problems. One didn't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out, simply because it was common sense. Even he, who had not exactly been the brightest tool in the shed at times, could figure that much out.
Still, he couldn't figure out what they might have done to cause this mess. By what he could understand, they were trying to work on something regarding 'barrier fields', and 'bioneural energies', which he didn't understand. What he did realize was that they had also had people who were 'noted experts in the field of human evolution', which he even he could tell was possibly a link to what had happened.
So, he, as far as he could tell, this 'NERV' bunch was his best before for real information, and the ability to do something about it. He wasn't too sure what he could, or would, do, but he was certain that he could figure something out. Right now, he just didn't know what that would be.
Folding the paper to keep the story in the right place, he sat back and looked around, while:
