Ranma stood on top of the Kent farm barn, watching the sun set. It had been three months since he and Kasumi appeared in his cousin’s living room. His cousin. He shook his head at the thought. Apparently they had some how crossed over into a parallel reality where Clark had been sent to Earth instead of Ranma.
The data sphere he had took from his ship told of a tale nearly identical to Clark’s except that in Ranma’s reality Clark’s parents didn’t have a child. Instead it was Clark’s uncle that did. Upon discovering Krypton’s impending destruction, he helped his brother to create a ship to take Ranma to Earth.
Ranma sighed as he looked up towards the sky. Things had been weird at first, what with Kasumi some how acquiring Kryptonian DNA. Not enough to get the powers from living under a yellow sun, just the strength, speed, invulnerability and flight abilities.
Dr. Fate, after telling him he couldn’t cure his curse, had theorized that the magic that had brought them to this reality had changed her because the strain of crossing realities might have been too much for her to handle and used Ranma as a template to change her enough to survive.
Just thinking about Kasumi brought a smile to his lips. It had been during one of their training sessions about a month after arriving that it had happened. Kasumi had just started to learn how to fly when she lost her concentration and began to drop from the air.
Ranma, although rationally knowing that she would be ok due to her new found invulnerability, reacted with out thought and leapt up to catch her. They hung there, suspended, as they stared into each other’s eyes. He wasn’t sure who had moved first, but the next he knew was that he and Kasumi were kissing. It wasn’t until he heard a cough off to the side that he reluctantly broke the kiss. Looking over to the side they saw Conner and Kara looking at them with amused looks on their faces.
He was brought out of his thoughts when he felt a pair of arms slide around his waist. He was about to speak when a sudden rain shower caused him to transform into his smaller female form. Hearing giggling, he turned in the persons arms and huffed with a mock pout as Kasumi just smiled.
She bent down and captured the red head’s lips in a searing kiss before pulling back, only to begin to giggle again at the goofy smile that adorned Ranma-chans face.
“Come on. Aunt Martha said supper was almost done. And Conner should be arriving soon.”
Ranma-chan slowly came back to herself before they stepped off the side of the barn and floated to the ground before heading inside.
